Support senior engineers in the design of electrical installation systems for industrial projects
Assist in creating detailed electrical layouts using AutoCAD and other CAD software
Learn to interpret and produce electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and technical documentation
Contribute to project planning, calculations, and compliance with relevant electrical standards (e.g. BS 7671)
Help with site surveys and understanding how designs are implemented in real-world environments
Gain exposure to building services, power distribution, lighting, and cable management systems
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers

The aim of the apprenticeship program with Manthorpe Engineering is to train people to become skilled fabricators within their chosen field who can then build a successful career within the company. To achieve this the apprentice will be paired with an experienced fabricator who will ensure their skills and knowledge are developed alongside their college-based training.
This process will involve on the job training and will include:
Shadowing and working alongside an experienced member of the Fabrication team to learn processes such as:
Marking out
Cutting, grinding
Drilling
Tack welding
MIG welding
Training:Metal Fabricator Level 3.
You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.
You will experience a blended learning model.
This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus. This attendance is required during term time only.Training Outcome:On completion of the apprenticeship, it is expected that the qualified apprentice will be a competent fabricator within their chosen discipline (Plater and/or Welder).
We have a graded pay scale to reward further progression reflecting skills and experience.
