Main Duties:
Provide general administrative support within the school office
Maintain accurate pupil and parent records using Arbor, the school's Management Information System (MIS)
Support the administration of daily pupil attendance registers

Rules, regulation policy and Strategy:

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed Ward Manager to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Newark, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This is a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs
As the Ward Manager your key responsibilities include:
Ensure a safe and effective duty rota for the ward nursing team, exploring safe provision of the service through skill-mix review, allocation of workload and allocation of staff
Ensure the timely and appropriate admission and discharge of patients
To investigate complaints and untoward incidents occurring on the ward and compile responses and action plans. Ensure all untoward incidents are reported through the IR1 Reporting System and action accordingly
To ensure that all policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions that relate to the wards are regularly reviewed and updated if required
Undertake a unit wide role when on duty in terms of ensuring the overall cover for the hospital and providing senior clinical nurse advice and support on issues as they arise
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
To have worked at a senior level for a minimum of 2 years within a mental health setting
Experience of managing a team
Ability to take responsibility for daily operational ward management
Up to date on current nursing practice
Evidence of on-going professional development
Effective leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
Ward budget/resource management
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**

Process Management:
Execute and adjust daily plans for Van and HGV fleets
Co‑ordinate resources to ensure availability and escalate delays
Monitor all collections and deliveries to meet SLA and procedural standards
Manage the movement of assets and consumables, maintaining accurate records. Ensure all vehicles comply with O’Licence and company maintenance requirements, recording and escalating defects
Support transport administration including scheduling paperwork, tachograph analysis and infringement monitoring
Provide accurate data for financial and performance reporting, identifying trends for improvement

Team Leadership and Management:

Manage attendance, conduct and performance issues in line with policy
Provide coaching and training to support development and performance improvement
Provide cover for the Transport Manager during absence
Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor compliance with driving hours, Working Time Directive rules and road‑safety legislation
Ensure safe, efficient operations that meet quality standards. Report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, completing follow‑up actions and leading investigations or disciplinary processes with HR support
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including Mail Integrity, Health & Safety, Carriage of Dangerous Goods, Data Protection and Information Security. Maintain accurate safety and compliance records
Monitor adherence to transport security policies and support investigations into potential breaches
Change Management:
Support continuous improvement within the transport department, working with the wider management team to identify and implement enhancements
Communicate change clearly to ensure understanding and engagement
Measure and monitor the impact of change, providing feedback and solutions
Act as a proactive problem‑solver, collaborating with other departments to deliver effective and sustainable change

What You’ll Deliver:
Working with a fully qualified and experienced Multi-Trader to:
Ensure the effective delivery of service in line with Axis Health and Safety policies and procedures
Ensure and undertake any recording of work and administration required by Axis standards and timescales
Report any Health and Safety issues and outstanding defects to your Supervisor, Contracts Manager, Health and Safety team and Apprentice Co-ordinator
