You would discuss the day ahead with the CT and prepare any materials as needed. You would then greet children and help to settle them into their morning routine, especially those with SEND or emotional needs. You would then support the teacher during lessons, possibly by working with small groups; clarifying instructions and encouraging focus, confidence and independence.
You would also work with children on their reading development and support the class teacher with the changing of these books. You would also support and supervise pupils during break and lunchtime.

Project Administrator Development Lead
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Project Administrator Development Lead is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for all employees assigned or transitioning into the Project Administrator role. The Apprentice will be part of the Research Administration team and will study the Business Administrator Level 3 qualification. The Research Administration Apprentice will, during their apprenticeship, cover many aspects of administration within the Department by supporting the Core Facility teams. The Institute has 11 scientific Core Facilities that work alongside researchers to enable access to cutting edge technologies.
You will be a great team player who has good organisation and prioritising skills. The apprentice will need to have basic IT skills and be able to follow instructions and learn new tasks. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with staff at all levels.
Duties will include:
Review emails to identify priorities and action as appropriate
Research and book travel for the Core Facility teams and arrange conference registration
Assist with completion of travel risk assessments in accordance with University policies and procedures
Provide administrative support for the Core Facility teams
Assist with HR administration in accordance with University policies and procedures
Organise interviews and liaise with other teams within the Department to co-ordinate the new starter process

Supporting store procedures, including opening or closing the store, cash handling, and safety and security
Supporting your fellow partners during periods of high volume to keep the store operating
Anticipating and delivering on your customer and store needs by getting to know your store environment and customers
Supporting in creating the third place environment during each shift
Delivering legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer-comes-first attitude and creating genuine connections
