Commission new equipment and carry out acceptance tests in accordance with IEC 62353 and Managing Medical Devices January 2021.
Under supervision, carry out planned preventative maintenance, necessary for safe operational efficiency to medical devices and laboratory equipment, which use electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical and/or medical gases for its operation.
Keep up to date records of performance, malfunction, and failure of medical devices and to identify the need to replace, repair or dispose of equipment.
Under supervision, be able to analyse/diagnose faults and effect repairs where required on selected medical devices and to calibrate/configure in accordance with the manufacturer’s procedures.
Maintain safety standards in accordance with the Health & Safety/Electricity at Work Acts.
