Complete all relevant records required by the Early Years Foundation Stage and St. George’s Nursery. Assist the Nursery Nurse/Officer in planning, preparing, and participating in activities both indoors and outdoors, ensuring they reflect equal opportunities. Support the implementation and evaluation of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Provide and maintain a happy, caring, and stimulating environment. Attend training sessions as required. Maintain high standards of hygiene, ensuring a clean, healthy, and safe environment at all times. Report any concerns to a Senior Manager. - Communicate and consult with parents professionally about the day-to-day needs of children, and know when to refer them to Senior Managers. Maintain positive relationships with all parents. Actively participate in all aspects of nursery life. - Communicate effectively with staff working different hours to ensure continuity in care and activities. Contribute to team discussions and attend staff meetings as required. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION DUTIES/TASKS: Satellite Hazardous Waste Accumulation Production tank/Cleaning/filling 1. Production Quality Lab Technicians may have to dispose of product samples, line flush, off-spec product, or expired product retain samples. This waste material is transferred to the hazardous waste satellite accumulation drum. 2. Production workers clean equipment and tanks pre-rinse, wipe, scrub, and final rinse surfaces using wash solvent, brushes and rags. Dirty solvent is transferred to the satellite accumulation area. 3. Transfer used wash solvent to the satellite accumulation drum or tank. 4. Ensure hazardous waste storage or accumulation containers remain sealed except during the addition or removal of waste. 5. Ensure Hazardous Waste storage containers are clearly labeled "Hazardous Waste." 6. Care must be exercised when introducing waste into the satellite accumulation drum. Do not drop on floor or area. In the case of any spilled material, spills or drops shall be cleaned up immediately. 7. When 55 gallons has accumulated, the satellite accumulation container must be moved to a permanent hazardous waste storage area within 3 days and relabeled "Hazardous Waste." REQUISITE SKILL, EDUCATION, OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge and understanding of the chemical characteristics of the wastes which they are assigned to handle or control (i.e., flammability, toxics, incompatibilities, etc.). 2. Type of protective equipment and clothing to be worn. 3. Knowledge of what to do or who to notify in the event of a release, fire, or explosion. 4. Knowledge of communication and alarm system. 5. Know procedures for using facility emergency equipment. 6. Predetermined responses and methods to control releases, fires, or explosions. 7. Ability to shut down operations. This level requires knowledge and competent demonstration of the following within 6 (six) months of hire: Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, performing necessary equipment repairs, and working knowledge of hand tools and problem-solving skills. This level requires the following certifications be initiated within six (6) months of hire: LOTO certified, Forklift certified, Fall protection certification The Production Maintenance Technician I will receive close instruction or assistance and is fully aware of the operating procedures and policies associated with the department. ______________________________________________________________________________ Production Maintenance Technician II This is the next level of the Production Maintenance Technician series and is required to have a minimum of 5 years of previous experience and working knowledge and competent demonstration of the following: Solid understanding of pneumatic /electrical drills, grinders, routers, and motors. Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, general maintenance processes and methods, power tools, welders and machine shop equipment. Solid problem-solving skills including equipment breakdown, performing repairs and installation. Previous welding experience preferred.This level requires the following certifications: LOTO certified, Forklift certified, Fall protection certificationThe Production Maintenance Technician II performs broader range of duties, proven skillset to fully perform PMT responsibilities, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, and provide technical direction to less experienced staff.
