My client is an established engineering manufacturing firm based in Barrow-in-Furness and commutable from Newton in Furness, Dalton-in-Furness, Great Urswick, Lindal in Furness and Askam-in-Furness. They are currently looking for a skilled CNC Miller join their team.
The Role: CNC Milling
- Set and operate CNC 3-axis Milling Machines
- Programming at the machine - Training can be provided
- Adjusting offsets and making adjustments within programs
- Working on Fanuc or Siemens-based controls
- Working from drawings
- Quality control of components
- Maintaining machinery, removing swarf and routine oiling/greasing etc
- Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate
- Complies with all Company rules including all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
Minimum Skills / Experience Required: CNC Milling Programmer
- Experience of Setting, Operating CNC 3-axis Mills
- CNC Miller on Fanuc or Siemens controls
- CNC Programming experience is adventageous
- Experience with Precision Engineering and working to tight tolerances
- Experience in the Aerospace or Defence industry is desirable
- Experience working from engineering drawings
- Able to quality check own parts
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved
- Motivated and excellent team player

Production Maintenance Technician I
Production Maintenance Technician I is the entry-level classification in the Production Maintenance Technician series and is intended for individuals with limited or no related work experience. Employees in the classification receive on-the-job training and experience in the maintenance of process equipment. As experience and proficiency are gained, assignments will become more varied and difficult; supervision become more general rather than direct. This level requires knowledge and competent demonstration of the following within 6 (six) months of hire: Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, working knowledge of hand tools and problem-solving skills. This level requires the following certifications be initiated within six (6) months of hire: LOTO certified, Forklift certified, Fall protection certification The Production Maintenance Technician I will receive close instruction or assistance and is fully aware of the operating procedures and policies associated with the department. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Production Maintenance Technician II
This is the next level of the Production Maintenance Technician series and is required to have a minimum of 5 years of previous experience and working knowledge and competent demonstration of the following: Solid understanding of pneumatic /electrical drills, grinders, routers, and motors. Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, general maintenance processes and methods, power tools, welders and machine shop equipment. Solid problem-solving skills including equipment breakdown, performing repairs and installation. Skilled electrical and instrumentation knowledge and troubleshooting. This level requires the following certifications: LOTO certified, Forklift certified, Fall protection certification The Production Maintenance Technician II performs broader range of duties, proven skillset to fully perform PMT responsibilities, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, and provide technical direction to less experienced staff. The Role:
Plant Operative
• The Plant Operative will be based in the plant in Lincolnshire
• Working for this market leading manufacturer of building products you will specialise in Asphalt.
• Supporting the plant Manager on the day to Day running of the Asphalt plant.
• Promoting and complying with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Responsibility for the accurate production of Asphalt products.
• Ensuring timely delivery of raw materials.
The Ideal Person:
Plant Operative
• Ideally you will have experience with Asphalt, however my clients will have a conversation with people who have experience working in a similar plant, or have knowledge of concrete.
• The successful candidate should be self-motivated, responsible and have excellent inter-personal skills.
• Flexibility and initiative are essential for this demanding and rewarding position.
• A good level of physical fitness.
• A basic understanding of batching systems would be desirable.
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.
• Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Previous experience in concrete/mortar production would be beneficial.
