Experience working as a Resident Forklift Engineer, Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, or Vehicle Technician
Strong mechanical knowledge including hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical fault finding
Experience servicing forklift trucks or similar mechanical equipment
The ability to work independently while also supporting the wider site team
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
A full UK driving licence

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist conducting routine inspections of equipment.
Assist in scheduling PPM and repairs for equipment.
Assisting and performing preventative maintenance activities.
Assisting and learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and correcting them.

Assistance to Ensure all tools and process equipment is maintained in a safe state.

Maintain a good level of housekeeping in the maintenance room.
Additional Tasks:

Training:Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located at Holmer Road, Hereford HR4 9SX.
Level 3 comprises of:
Duration approximately 40-45 months.
Year 1, between 22–39 weeks are spent at HWGTA Training Centre developing practical engineering skills, alongside one day per week in the classroom, completing the theoretical elements of the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
Year 2, predominantly based in your company, returning to the Training Centre one day per week to continue and complete the specialised elements of their Level 3 Diploma (Development Knowledge).
Years 3–4Based full-time in your company, developing practical skills and knowledge in preparation for the End Point Assessment to gain your Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification.
