We are looking for a Despatch & Finished Goods Inventory Operator to join one of our client on permanent basis.
The Despatch and Finished Goods Inventory Operator is responsible for safely packing, handling, and despatching goods, ensuring they are securely prepared for transport, whilst adhering to health and safety protocols and maintaining accurate documentation. This role also provides support across Goods Inwards and Stores.
The successful candidate will be required to work the day shift pattern, Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 16:30pm Monday to Thursday and 08:00am to 15:30pm on Fridays (37.5 hours per week).
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
Safely and accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring they are securely packaged for transport in accordance with customer requirements.
Load and unload goods from vehicles ensuring efficient and safe handling using Overhead Crane, Side Loader and Forklift Truck.
Locate Finished Goods Inventory within designated Finished Goods Areas and conduct regular stock audits.
Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure efficient stock rotation, using IT systems for stock movements.
Raise and complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Operate machinery such as overhead cranes, forklift trucks, side loaders, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Support Goods Inward and Stores department as required.
Proactive involvement in Health and Safety and 5s/ Lean initiatives
Esseential:
Prior experience working within an engineering manufacturing environment. Previous Stores/Despatch experience will be highly desirable.
5 GCSE’s including English and Math’s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
Fitness and capability to operate the Overhead crane and a variety of Forklift Trucks including Counterbalance and Side Loader (Full training will be provided).
Proven record of actively promoting safe working practices.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Drive and motivation to learn new skills, whilst being able to work under pressure and able to adapt to changing priorities during the day.
Ability to work on own initiative/ independently and work well within a team environment.

The role of Electrical Technician
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team, responsible for delivering day-to-day electrical maintenance, inspection, testing and repairs across the pipeline system. The role supports the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure by responding to faults, resolving equipment issues and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards. Working closely with technical teams, site supervisors and operations, you will help ensure systems remain efficient, dependable and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Technician:
Carry out maintenance, overhaul, fault finding and repair of electrical equipment using OEM manuals, drawings and engineering documentation.
Respond to breakdowns, support diagnostics, and complete inspections in line with BS7671 and BS60079 standards.
Plan, coordinate and oversee contractor activities, including permits, handovers, and safe isolation procedures.
Maintain accurate records via CMMS, including work orders, parts used, remedial actions, and asset/PPM updates.
Support site operations through calibration of instruments, alarm testing, and maintenance of systems such as SCADA and tank gauging.
Manage stock, liaise with suppliers, and support continuous improvement through audits, training of junior staff, and development of procedures.
Essential Criteria for the Electrical Technician
Qualified Electrical Technician with a recognised time-served apprenticeship and certifications: 18th Edition / BS7671.
Proven experience in petrochemical, Oil and gas or process industry environments, with strong knowledge of permit systems, site safety rules, and ability to interpret technical drawings.
Effective communicator able to work collaboratively across teams while managing workload independently.
Proactive approach with strong ownership, high safety standards, and good IT skills; physically fit with a clean driving licence.
Desirable: additional compex modules (EX01–04), CCNSG, HV Authorised Person, ATG or Rotork experience, COMAH awareness, confined space and first aid training, plus basic mechanical skills.

Power Station Specific Considerations:
You'll be working within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment with strict permit-to-work systems

Security clearance requirements and site access protocols must be followed (full guidance will be given pre interview stage)
Training:
As well as guided on the job training specific to our organisation you will study towards your level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship. You will attend college on day release during term time only
A tutor will be assigned to you, and you will receive protected study time within the workplace
You will also get support from our apprenticeship team through mentoring and buddying

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
