Based at their site in Stoke-on-Trent, as a member of the Quality Assurance Team, you will be testing products, assessing function, performance and build quality within a Laboratory environment to ensure that the products are fit for market and meet the required standard for the brand.
This will involve; samples for assessment to include first samples, pre-shipment samples and stock samples tested and assessed following departmental procedures.
You will also be assessing returned products and establishing the reason for failure and will become familiar with UK & EU standards and legislation.
As a result, you will contribute towards the development of successful products by aiding the designers and engineers in the development stage through test reports, design input and root cause analysis of issues identified.
Ideally applicants will have previous experience of working in a test facility (either in-house or an external test house) or have hands-on experience of completing the QA testing procedure.

Scope:
This is a key role as BMS underpins the majority of Building services systems and components and is often the first port of call when diagnosing faults and plays a pivotal role in ascertaining root causes.

Experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based controls systems. Responsible for all dispenser equipment in the field. Ability to visit and evaluate a plant to order the proper dispenser equipment needed to do the job right (such as conduit for electrical, hose lengths, position of dispenser, etc.) Install the dispenser equipment and help assist the customer in matching our dispenser to their plant (such as counts, added products, etc.). When the install is complete tech is responsible to clean up any mess that was created during the visit. Will be responsible to pick up any equipment in the field that needs to be removed, and returned to a Euclid facility. Responsible to wash out any tanks immediately upon being returned at the Euclid Chemical plant with the guidance of the plant manager on the waste product. Willingness and ability to restore any used equipment that can be reused. Will be required to do paperwork (such as DOT Certifications, Expense Reports, Daily or Weekly Reports, etc.) The DOT Certifications will be done professionally on Euclid Letterhead and handed to the customer. May be asked to transfer safe amounts of material from location to location (such as raw materials for concrete testing, admixture, fiber, etc.). Required to order equipment and install that equipment at the designated customer location and maintain that equipment after installation. Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when needed. Assist in state inspections where necessary. Respond to customer issues with those dispensers when needed. Assure that their truck is properly equipped with the necessary parts to fix or repair the equipment.

Painting and decorating, general joinery, basic electrics and basic plumbingEnsure that all mechanical and non-mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment on the premises is maintained and in safe and clean working order, carrying out all necessary and mandatory checks on all fire and lighting equipment as well as other facilitiesKeep up to date with new developments and required maintenance checks for nursing homesCheck the maintenance books on all floors daily and action immediatelyKnow the location of fuse boxes, main stopcocks etc and how to turn off services if requiredCheck fire alarm systems weekly, ensuring all information is recordedCheck emergency lighting and water temperatures monthly, ensuring all information is recordedEnsure fire appliances are checked and serviced regularlyCheck all fire doors weekly and record any issuesCarry out quarterly fire drills and ensure staff follow fire evacuation procedures and assist with updating fire evacuation proceduresCheck all electric lights daily and replace bulbs as necessaryMake sure the Nurse Call System is in good working order at all times by carrying out regular checks and documenting thisCheck all pressure relieving mattresses monthly to ensure they are functioning correctly. Report to Home Manager if there are any issuesCheck all beds and bed controls on a monthly basis and ensure they are working correctly. Report to Home Manager if there are any issuesRedecorate all rooms and corridors as requested by the Home Manager
