Receiving mentorship and guidance from maintenance engineers and engineering managers, as an Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will:
Assist maintenance engineers in inspecting, diagnosing, installing and repairing machinery, equipment and facilities to gain experience in engineering hard skills.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and identifying root causes of issues to develop problem solving skills.
Learn to use a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment to maintain and repair machinery effectively.
Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts to develop administrative and organisational skills which are essential for operating in a cGMP environment.
Participate in safety training programmes and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

An average day or week may include:
Dispensing Medications:
Accurately preparing and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
Ensuring correct labelling and packaging of medications
Counselling patients on proper medication usage and possible side effects
Inventory Management:
Assisting in managing the stock of medicines and pharmaceutical supplies
Ensuring medications are stored correctly and safely

The training typically includes:

Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths are also required to be completed before the EPA, if applicable
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Pharmacy Apprenticeship, participants will receive a Level 3 qualification in Pharmacy Services Skills (or equivalent).
This qualification enables them to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a qualified pharmacy technician, opening up several career opportunities within the pharmacy sector.Training Outcome:
