About the team
This team acts as the first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns and requests for support regarding children in the local community. The team manage the incoming referrals from schools, health professionals and the general public when concerns regarding the children’s safety/ welfare arises. The role of this team is to ensure that the referrals receive the most appropriate level of need required in a timely manner, they play a vital role in the progression of each allegation and case.
About you
A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipDW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years experiences is essential to be considered for this role. Having experience as a Advanced Practitioner and having a thorough understanding of the children safeguarding processes is keAbility to be flexible resilient and reflective is also essential. Work within the decarbonisation team on varied investment projects, including leaseholder consultation, to build project, contract and budget management skills, and support contract‑phase delivery to ensure contractors meet agreed quality and performance standards.

Learn to identify HHSRS hazards in homes and ensure Category 1 hazards are resolved promptly.
Report any repairs or specialist surveys required for defects identified whilst carrying out surveys.
Identify and report any housing tenancy, welfare, or safeguarding concerns during visits. Signpost to teams such as Anti Social Behaviour (ASB), Neighbourhood Officers, Works and Money Advisors, Occupational Therapists.
Provide basic advice to residents on correct use of the home including simple repairs the resident may be responsible for.
Identify and record refusals and support the technical liaison officer with no access situations.
Formulate and process data for analysis, measure and progress tracking.
Support meetings by documenting accurate minutes, identifying key action points and associated timelines.
