Purpose

Community Referrals • Respond promptly to community-based referrals requiring the sourcing and purchasing of care and support. • Identify suitable care settings, including home care, residential, nursing, and specialist provision, based on assessed needs. • Ensure timely placement to prevent escalation, admission, or breakdown of existing care arrangements.
Professional Practice and Collaboration • Act as a senior point of contact for complex brokerage cases and placement challenges. • Maintain effective working relationships with providers, social work teams, health colleagues, and commissioning teams. • Ensure accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of brokerage activity. • Contribute to continuous improvement of brokerage processes and market engagement.

Working Hours
We are particularly keen to hear from drivers available for late shifts:
Early: 7:00am – 2:30pm
Late: 3:30pm – 11:00pm
Long Day: 7:00am – 2:30pm and 3:30pm – 11:00pm
Late shift availability (3pm–11pm) is a priority, however early shifts are still required. This is a community-based role, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.

You will be enrolled on a Leisure Team Member apprenticeship programme which takes approximately 18 months to complete, as well as completing the following qualifications throughout the length of your apprenticeship:
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
First Aid at Work (Level 3)
Certificate in Teaching Swimming

The role will encompass session delivery across our community rugby and outreach programmes, as well as relationship building, project management, fundraising and business planning with colleagues, including, but not limited to:
Deliver high quality sessions across a range of projects designed by Blues Foundation in school and community settings.
Activate curriculum programmes across primary and secondary schools, multisport sessions including ABILITY Blues, and other sport-related projects and camps where appropriate.
Contributing to marketing activity to engage a range of abilities, backgrounds and audiences, increasing rugby participation and access to our sport.
Develop opportunities for Blues Foundation to grow through relationship building, actively contributing to the department business plan and working with wider Foundation staff.
Establish constructive working relationships with the key stakeholders and develop regular contact to promote collaboration and sharing of good practice.
Play an instrumental role in supporting and enhancing our matchday operations, leading activities and communicating effectively with clubs, schools and community groups in the build-up to events.
Implement experience and knowledge gained from the Sports Business Management degree to further develop our work and create innovative ways to increase funding and increase our brand.
Plan, organise and review all sessions. As well as complete aspects of administration, monitoring and evaluation of sessions required.
Maintain a high standard of health and safety and implement correct safeguarding procedures.
Training:Over a three-year period, the apprentice will spend the equivalent of one day per week undertaking university study, attending the University of Hertfordshire's de Havilland campus in Hatfield approximately every other Friday for face-to-face teaching, while the remainder of their week will be spent in the workplace and locations determined by the employer, learning on the job skills.Training Outcome:Following successful completion of the Degree Apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to remain in, and progress within the organisation.Employer Description:Bedford Blues Foundation is the charitable arm of Bedford Blues Rugby Club. What you need:
- 6+ years PQE in Mental Capacity and Mental Health law
- Experience in Welfare proceedings in the Court of Protection
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Law Society Mental Health (Welfare) Accreditation, or willingness to work towards it
- Confidence working within Legal Aid processes
What Youll Be Doing:
- Leading on Welfare cases in the Court of Protection
- Advising on Mental Capacity, Mental Health, Community Care and Judicial Review
- Supporting, supervising and developing junior colleagues
- Helping build relationships with partners and referral networks
