In this varied role, you’ll join one of our engineering teams working across either our Civil Decommissioning or Defence business streams. From designing control systems to developing Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and performing electrical load calculations, every task helps ensure the safety and sustainability of nuclear infrastructure.
You’ll support the full design lifecycle: from initial concept through to detailed design and design for manufacture. Typical tasks may include producing technical documentation, assessing designs for risk and safety, and learning to work with standards and regulations that apply across the industry.
As part of your development, you’ll take part in internal training that broadens your knowledge beyond your core role. From your base at Fleswick Court in Cumbria, you’ll support key projects at Sellafield, helping to develop innovative solutions that safely dismantle and clean up some of the country’s oldest nuclear facilities.

The Sr. Technician, IT Support is responsible for maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, RF handhelds, and mobile devices, as well as providing end user support. Support the Service Delivery Managers on Customer Accounts, helping to progress DECs, (Display Energy Certificates), & where required, RR's (Recommendation Report), to successful completion.
Actively monitor pipe drive jobs that enter into awaiting data, feeding them back to the customer through agreed escalation processes and chase to a conclusion.
For instructions that are for individual sites where there is missing data, produce call lists for the scheduling team and monitor progress to ensure successful receipt of energy data.
Support the energy accounts team with DEC-related queries ranging from identifying issues with certificates to the resending of jobs.
As required, upload completed certificates to customer portals and assist with the upload of customer invoices.
Upload new DEC orders onto Pipedrive, ensuring all necessary information is correct, including but not limited to "DEC Year", "Title", "Purchase Order" and "Value".
Support the production DEC Certificates and Recommendation reports, including reviewing data and issuing to the customer.
Assist the business with developing reports and building databases using Power BI and Metaverse.
Ensure DEC's are being printed and sent to the customer.

Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at Remit’s dedicated Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby. Remit Academy is dedicated to Volvo and our apprenticeship programme. There are a total of 18 blocks over the 32 months programme. which are split between virtual classes and days in Derby.
The costs for accommodation, food and travel are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.

What You'll Do:
Assist with repairs that are carried out in accordance with Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools where appropriate.
Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
Learn and comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
Assist and work with the parts team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted to the vehicles
Learn how to and use Volvo special tools safely and efficiently.
Assist with cleaning the workshop.
Assist with ensuring that the company time recording procedures are complied with and that job cards are completed accurately
Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop Supervisor.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when must be worn.
Attend college courses regularly and achieve the standards required by the course.
Attend any technical or development training that is made available
