Apprentice Safety Equipment Technician
On a daily basis you’ll work within one of our Service Centres where you will learn to:
Service and repair a wide variety of confined space safety equipment to meet company, industry, and manufacturer standards This includes industry leading lifting, gas detection, breathing, lighting and air distribution equipment Inspect and function test a wide range of equipment, assessing that it meets the correct operational and safety guidelines Diagnose and rectify faults, making recommendations regarding replacement parts and fitting them correctly Recognise defective items through fault finding procedures Provide comprehensive reports for customers Maintain accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records Combine working in our national service centre workshop with visits to customer sites to service and repair their equipment Develop in-depth product knowledge, continually expanding your skills Build excellent working relationships with customers and understand their business needs and requirements Become an ambassador for our “Customer First” culture, resolving any issues quickly and keeping your colleagues and customers informed, so they feel truly valued Expand your team working skills with your colleagues and the wider Sunbelt Rentals team Manage multiple tasks and deadlines as part of a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment Operate within a highly developed safety culture within a focused team environmentTraining:
You will be completing a level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard. This will be delivered using a combination of:
Workplace experience to gain practical skills Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor Industry recognised training leading to an apprenticeship qualification Training will be delivered at Burton and South Derbyshire CollegeTraining Outcome:

Working Hours :
Monday-Friday between the hours of 07:00 to 17:00 e.g., 08:00 to 16:30. Shifts TBC.
