GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Customer Service Representative provides customer service to external customers (distributors, contractors, design teams, and building owners) and internal customers (sales representatives) as it relates to processing product orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond to customer calls, emails, and faxed requests. Handle large volumes of calls, emails, and faxes. Respond to all aspects of customers' and representatives' inquiries or requests (orders, product information, stock status, pricing, shipping information, samples, etc.) Accurately key orders into the system. Check stock availability to confirm orders. Make special requests such as color matching, special sales order process or (ERP) orders. NDT Engineering Technician Apprentice
We are currently recruiting for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineering Technician Apprentice’s to work alongside our highly skilled and motivated site NDT team based at Hinkley Point C. Whilst working within the team you will also be completing a Level 2 apprenticeship and studying for three PCN Level 2 Qualifications.
To ensure consideration you will have obtained a minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (grade 4 or above in the new grading system), including Maths and English. You will also need to demonstrate good eyesight (Jaeger 1), either aided or unaided.

The role of a Planning & Design Trainee involves detailed technical discussions with customers, architects, public authorities and landowners together with a sound and pragmatic appreciation of complex engineering problems. Applicants must be personable and approachable, with a firm understanding of engineering and financial matters.
The training programme provides on-the-job training and formal courses held in one of our Training Centres at either Taunton or Tipton, over a period of approximately two years (depending on entry level qualifications). Successful candidates will also be expected to study for and achieve a higher-level qualification. The majority of the on-the-job training will take place within local teams, but you may be required to undertake placements at other locations across the National Grid service area, so you need to be flexible and able to travel.
The apprenticeship programme takes approximately three years to complete, and you’ll spend your first 10-12 weeks being inducted onto the programme at one of our Training Centres. You’ll earn while you learn and develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a Networks Planner, achieving a higher-level qualification. will include vocational and academic courses along with periods of on-the-job training and development, learning from an experienced and qualified Network Planner. Following a formal assessment of your knowledge, skills and behaviours, you’ll become a qualified Network Planner yourself.

As an apprentice, your 3-year development programme will be made up of up to 6 to 9 placement rotations.
Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for your successful career. We also understand that everyone’s career is different, so every apprentice’s journey is unique. Here’s an idea of what yours could look like:
Year 1 - Placement 1 – Operational Communications Systems (Stations) – 6 months. You will be involved in many aspects of the delivery of an Operational Communications Systems upgrade project, including Design Reviews, System Delivery, Implementation and Project Safety & Assurance.
Placement 2 – Fixed Transmission Systems – 3 months – You will undertake various Engineering Assurance activities, such as supporting the delivery of IP and legacy communications systems and producing Written Notices to amend and clarify engineering standards.
Placement 3 – Wireless Systems – 3 months – You will employ a variety of Wireless Systems used across the business, including radio systems used by TfL staff and Emergency Services.
Year 2 - Placement 4 – Surface Operational Systems – 6 months – You will spend time with Surface Operational Systems.
Placement 5 – LU Asset Operations – 3 to 6 months – Communications systems operations and maintenance including working with the internal or external maintainer.

What will you be doing:
Primarily focused on managing an internal project team in the lead up to construction contract signatures
Supporting the discharge of planning conditions by working closely with the development team

Prepare pre-construction information and other key HSE docs
Develop and own the pre-construction risk register, schedule and budget
