A significant proportion of the logistics apprenticeship framework concentrates on developing people in two main areas, Warehousing & Satellite Build Support Stores. Satellite Build Support Stores placements are a more customer centric role close to the build line providing continuous support to our operations colleagues to ensure the correct material is delivered at the right time to support the submarine build programme. As a Warehouse Operative Apprentice, you'll safely handle goods in and out of our storage facilities, assisting with unloading, inventory management, and product distribution. You will have the opportunity to work in various warehouse and storage environments across the Devonport Dockyard site, assisting both Babcock and Royal Navy customers.

Social Workers will work according to the relevant legislation and statutory guidance for people with a learning disability in need of care and support. You may also be involved in engaging in more complex situations, including making applications to the Court of Protection. You will need excellent report writing and computer skills. Record keeping is a vital and necessary part of the job and being able to communicate effectively is central to the role.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, committed, and hard working with a willingness to work to quality practice standards, keeping the person at the heart of all interventions. They must have experience of working within a multidisciplinary framework and need to have good negotiating skills. The successful candidate will be working with Partner Agencies and will be required to maintain good working relationships. They will be required to work as a duty worker on an occasional basis, undertake statutory Safeguarding work (s42 Care Act 2014), Mental Capacity Act (2007) and best Interest assessments and may also be required to provide supervision/support to less experienced staff. Some experience of supervision is desirable but not essential.

Essential Skills
Must have minimum 6 months experience working with clients dealing with learning & physical disabilities, autism, brain injuries and mental health
Must have valid DBS
Good general education
Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference
Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve
Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
A commitment to undertake training and development
Own transport required due to the location of the role

The apprentices would undertake the relevant training to be able to do the following tasks on completion of their apprenticeship:
Design products and electrical switchgear systems using CAD software
Prepare detailed quotations from customer-supplied Electrical SLD drawings, electrical schedules, and technical specifications for a range of LV Distribution equipment
Keep existing quotations up to date, as and when new information is provided communicating any changes with customers.
Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations
Maintain relationships with existing clients, keeping a sales-minded attitude, and seek out and build relationships with new clients
CRM entry to keep detailed records of all quotations.
Balance multiple enquiries/ quotations at once, ensuring each reaches the client by the deadline required.
Prepare RFQs for materials, equipment, transport and labour costs, collecting quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors
helping plan job timescales /assessing the levels of risk on a project
Training:
Candidates will work toward a level 3 Engineering standard
Btec Level 3 Technical Certificate
End point assessment will take place at the end of the apprenticeship
