Based: Stoke-on-Trent
We are an international leader in the manufacture and distribution of small domestic products and appliances. Due to ambitious expansion and development plans, we are actively looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Technician to join our in-house QA Team.
Based at their site in Stoke-on-Trent, as a member of the Quality Assurance Team, you will be testing products, assessing function, performance and build quality within a Laboratory environment to ensure that the products are fit for market and meet the required standard for the brand.
This will involve; samples for assessment to include first samples, pre-shipment samples and stock samples tested and assessed following departmental procedures.
You will also be assessing returned products and establishing the reason for failure and will become familiar with UK & EU standards and legislation.
As a result, you will contribute towards the development of successful products by aiding the designers and engineers in the development stage through test reports, design input and root cause analysis of issues identified.
Ideally applicants will have previous experience of working in a test facility (either in-house or an external test house) or have hands-on experience of completing the QA testing procedure.
Ideally, candidates should have:
Hands on mechanical and/or electrical skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Organised and structured with a drive for a clean, orderly, tidy and safe working environment.
Computer literate with good abilities with MS Excel & Word.

Enterprise Operations Support
Works closely with the managers of VP IT Global Business Applications and Manager Global IT PMO to coordinate activities related to support and to negotiate support resources required to support migrations. Re-enforces standards for the thorough testing of all new and revised system functions, reports and oversees quality assurance review of procedural documentation and supporting materials. Provides leadership and expertise related to business system integrations or substitutes for migrating companies. Acts as project manager for medium to large size migration projects. Manages the planning and implementation of large-scale SAP projects and oversees SAP Specialists in the planning and implementation of application programming, installation and maintenance projects, ensuring integration of department specific solutions with Tremco's e-Business strategy. Assists in creating and providing continuous improvements for standards within the Mergers and Acquisitions and Project Management Office teams. Qualifications
College diploma or university degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 10+ years' experience leading and managing SAP application installation, configuration and maintenance projects. Solid understanding of business process design / re-engineering in an SAP supported environment. 10 + Year of demonstrated Project Management and Project Leadership skills related to SAP. Solid understanding of client group business process and procedures, preferably demonstrated by relevant professional designation, certification or 10+ years related business experience in a leadership role.
Competency
Ability to manage project life cycle, from needs assessment, specification development, design and implementation, documentation through to application integration and maintenance. Solid understanding of SAP application software functionality, configuration, support requirements and report writing tools (SAP Report Writer, SAP Script). Working knowledge of HP Unix, PC-Desktop and PC-LAN computing platforms. Working knowledge of SAP/Oracle databases, familiarity with PC-based databases (Paradox, Access). Thorough understanding of IT communication network hardware and standards, including security and disaster recovery protocols. Vehicle Technician/MOT TesterNr Whitfield, Dover£28-£45K + Monthly Bonus (Dependent on experience)Mon – Fri, 8.00am -5.30pm (No weekends) We are seeking a skilled and dedicated level 3 Technician / MOT Tester to join a fabulous team at an Independent workshop in between Dover and Canterbury.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting service repairs diagnostics on vehiclesThis role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities• Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles in accordance with legal requirements.• Inspect vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.• Identify defects or issues that may affect vehicle performance or safety.• Complete detailed reports of inspections and communicate findings to vehicle owners.• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.• Utilise power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during inspections and repairs.• Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts as necessary during testing procedures.Experience• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair is essential.• Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment is highly desirable.• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required during inspections.• Previous experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.If you are passionate about working for a leading independent workshop Kent we would love to hear from you.
