As part of this apprenticeship, you'll work towards a Production Chef - Level 2 qualification. The training will be delivered in the form of work-based learning and will include functional skills.
Have you got what it takes? You'll be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to company specification with the support and direction of tasks set by the Head Chef.
As a Chef Apprentice you'll:
* Ensuring all menu items and specials are prepared, cooked and presented to company specification
* Maintaining portion control and ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum
* Assisting the Head Chef with orders, stock taking, food hygiene, and development of the team
* Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is maintained and is working correctly
You'll have basic cooking skills with the desire to learn and pick up new ones. You'll have a good working attitude and enjoy the buzz of working in a busy kitchen environment

The Engineering and Facilities Manager is responsible for directing all engineering activities and for maintaining and upgrading the facilities and production equipment. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining/ advancing of a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program at the facility and identifying capital requirements for the annual capital plan. Responsibilities also include developing and assisting in value stream design and implementation of lean principles and tools within the manufacturing environment. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with value stream mapping, employee training, continuous improvement event facilitation, waste identification and elimination, problem solving (through the scientific method), work area and station design and layout, visual control implementation, material flow, progress tracking and communication. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with LEAN leadership in eliminating unplanned production interruptions.
Use DAKOTA as the compliance tool to report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and to maintain compliance with EH&S.
Work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Prepare capital projects for submission to management. Included are costs, schedule, JHA, PHA, and procedures needed.
Serve as lead project engineer for approved capital projects with the goal of on-time and on-budget completion.
Develop and administer a viable and visual Preventative Maintenance Program that reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of production and production supporting machinery.

Recruit departmental employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Manager to join the Venue Operations team. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will be responsible for leading a multi-skilled engineering team and managing specialist contractors across a complex, high-footfall environment. You will ensure all mechanical and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably, supporting both day-to-day operations and major live events. This is a highly visible role, requiring a hands-on approach, strong leadership and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced, event-led setting. Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage up-to-date PPM and PEAP schedules, working closely with supervisors to drive task completion via CAFM reportingDevelop, implement and continuously improve maintenance procedures and processesLead, train, coach and develop a multi-skilled in-house engineering team and external suppliersEnsure compliance with all statutory requirements, health & safety legislation and codes of practiceOversee preventative and reactive maintenance across M&E systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and associated plantManage maintenance budgets, monitor expenditure and implement corrective actions where requiredMonitor plant and equipment inventory, ensuring agreed minimum stock levels are maintainedDeliver SLA and KPI performance in line with CAFM system requirementsAct as point of escalation for critical and out-of-hours faultsFulfil technical duty manager responsibilities during events on a rota basisReview existing maintenance processes to improve efficiency and identify energy-saving initiatives using building analyticsConduct regular audits to ensure statutory compliance and high operational standardsSupport internal and external audits as requiredEnsure all maintenance logs, compliance records and reports are kept accurate and audit-readyManage engineering rotas to ensure sufficient coverage for events and peak operational periodsAct as L8 Responsible Person as designated by the Duty Holder
Skills & Experience
Relevant trade qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2365) or equivalent NVQ Level 3Proven experience leading multi-skilled engineering teams within large commercial or public venuesHealth & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH)Strong technical knowledge across electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building services systemsAbility to interpret technical drawings and schematicsAuthorised Person (LV/HV) – desirableBMS, LCS and EMS experience – desirableStrong understanding of safe systems of work and statutory complianceExcellent IT and administrative skills (Microsoft Office)IPAF / PASMA – desirableFull UK driving licenceLCA 9010 or equivalent L8 Responsible Person qualification
