Develop and sustain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015 accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures. Regulate, control and improve the quality of all processes throughout the business and the final product by developing and maintaining robust process controls. Manage complaint resolution making sure solid corrective actions are implemented to address identified root causes. Maintain communication with customers throughout the complaint process using the 8D format reports and other RC/CA Tools. Manage the audit program making sure that all NCRs raised are followed up and solid corrective actions are put in place. Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company. Lead the team to achieve quality management system targets for customers and business goals. Principal duties & responsibilities
• Lead the Quality & Customer Quality Engineers on a day-to-day basis making sure that the department is working to company priorities and all measurement equipment is in calibration• Manage the 8D Customer Complaint Process• Chair regular corrective action meetings for the Quality Department• Supply an independent resource to all other departments during corrective action meetings• Be actively involved with process development activities throughout the business• Manage the Team of QA Lab Operators (Final Inspection) making sure that no non-conforming product is released to customers without QP Approvals. Nature and Scope:
The Senior Quality Engineer will be expected to not only maintain the company's MES system, Audit Calendar, Gauge Calibration, Complaint Management requirements but will also be expected to supply a resource to other departments during process development activities. This role will involve leading the team of quality engineers and QA Lab Operators managing their daily workload. You’ll be expected to be actively involved with the quality engineer’s personnel development and appraisals. Key Performance Indicators:
A Weekly Score Card will need to be updated every Monday ready for reporting to the SLT (Exec). This scorecard may include but not limited to, KPIs relating to Gauge Calibration, Auditing, NCRs raised, Customer Complaints Status and CA meeting activity. Based: Stoke-on-Trent
We are an international leader in the manufacture and distribution of small domestic products and appliances. Due to ambitious expansion and development plans, we are actively looking to appoint a Product Test Technician to join our in-house QA Team.
Based at their site in Stoke-on-Trent, as a member of the Quality Assurance Team, you will be testing products, assessing function, performance and build quality within a Laboratory environment to ensure that the products are fit for market and meet the required standard for the brand.
This will involve; samples for assessment to include first samples, pre-shipment samples and stock samples tested and assessed following departmental procedures.
You will also be assessing returned products and establishing the reason for failure and will become familiar with UK & EU standards and legislation.
As a result, you will contribute towards the development of successful products by aiding the designers and engineers in the development stage through test reports, design input and root cause analysis of issues identified.
Ideally applicants will have previous experience of working in a test facility (either in-house or an external test house) or have hands-on experience of completing the QA testing procedure.
Ideally, candidates should have:
Hands on mechanical and/or electrical skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Organised and structured with a drive for a clean, orderly, tidy and safe working environment.
Computer literate with good abilities with MS Excel & Word.
Enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ outlook.
An ability to get things done. Completes and finishes work with no loose ends.
The ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
Able to work as part of a team or own initiative as required, and work with minimal supervision
Preferred but not essential:
Good understanding of Quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
Good understanding of relevant UK, European and International regulations standards, codes of practice and procedures (e.g. UKCA, CE, CCC, LVD, IP ratings, etc.)
Good experience of working in a technical test facility.
Minimum 1 years’ industry related experience in testing of products with mechanical, electrical, electronic & software elements.
Good experience of following detailed test requirements and protocols.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and make confident decisions.

To ensure all areas within the business are functioning. This may include checks of accessories, printers, TVs and cabling. This may include movement of equipment to other areas of the building, upgrades and improvements. It may also include the setup of new equipment in new office areas.
Printer maintenance - attend waste cart alerts, fuser/drum (none user serviceable parts), faults with toners, cleaning and installation of maintenance kits. Provide toners if required to ensure the availability of our printers.
Printer setup – configuration of new printer hardware, documentation and communication with other members of the support team to facilitate this.
Basic hardware repairs – batteries, memory, hard drive, thermal paste, firmware. Rebuild Windows or repair OS, profile fixes, wifi issues, lan issues.
Attend urgent hardware requests. Present solutions and ideas to help improve the IT within the working environment.
Mobile devices – attend issues with mobile phones/tablets - setup/config.
Clearing old IT kit - maintain the asset database and rotation of hardware through the department.
