The Senior RF Microwave Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Lead and play a key role in the design, development, and prototyping of advanced RF and Microwave components and sub-systems.
Main responsibilities of the Senior RF Microwave Engineer, based in Lincoln:
Design and manufacture multi-chip modules using both ceramic and LCP QFN packaging
Develop and build RF and Microwave components and sub-systems covering UHF to 50GHz
Work on a wide range of components including Power Amplifiers, Oscillators, Mixers, Limiters, Switches, and LNAs
Design complex subsystems such as SatCom BUCs, RF over Fiber solutions, Switch Matrices, and FMCW radar systems
Support defense-related engineering projects
Take a hands-on, results-driven approach while working both independently and within a team
Manage projects from quotation through to production
Mentor and support technical employees
Ensure high standards in design documentation, technical reports, and communication
Requirements of the Senior RF Microwave Engineer, based in Lincoln:
HNC/ Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (10+ years in a relevant role)
Proficiency in RF and Microwave simulation and design tools such as ADS or Microwave Office
Experience with mechanical CAD tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Familiarity with chip-and-wire technology and SMT on laminate
Experience with non-linear simulations in microwave design tools (desirable)
Defense sector project experience(desirable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
