We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our client who specialises in supporting care leavers aged 16+. This role involves supporting an 18-year-old female in supported living accommodation, in their journey towards independence. You will be helping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment, supporting with property maintenance, and providing essential one-on-one care to this young female as part of her individual care plan.
About the Team Our client provides a range of accommodation options, available on either a solo or shared basis, along with flexible support packages for young people aged 16 and over. Additionally, they offer outreach support, mother and baby placements, and placements outside the county. Most of the young people attend college and are independent. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a motivated individual as she prepares for her future.
About You As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting this young person with everyday tasks, such as property maintenance (light bulbs, gas meters), assisting around the home, for example helping with cooking and cleaning, and conducting health and safety checks. You’ll also be providing one-on-one support as part of her care package.
Though the young female is generally independent, you’ll be there to lend a helping hand when needed, whether it’s with practical issues, emotional support, or getting involved in activities outside of her living space.
Hours / Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday: 15:00-19:00
Saturday – Sunday 11:00-15:00
Rate of Pay:
