USV Commercial Manager

As our Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial success of this rapidly growing service line, supporting innovative projects across Europe and Africa in sectors like offshore wind, oil & gas, and subsea cables. While the preferred location for this role is the Remote Operations Centre in Aberdeen, we are also open to considering other Fugro offices across Europe.
Your role and responsibilities:
Lead the commercial strategy for Fugro’s USV operations across Europe and Africa, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
Drive the development and submission of high-quality proposals, including pricing strategies, go/no-go decisions, and final approvals.
Support the successful launch of new USVs by onboarding clients and building tailored commercial strategies for each vessel rollout.
Act as the key liaison between the Marine Asset Integrity and Marine Site Characterisation business lines for USV operations.
Manage and mentor a team of proposal managers and business development specialists.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as an account manager for key clients.
Collaborate with the Service Line Director on forecasting, budgeting, and commercial oversight.
Track market trends and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
Experience in a commercial, proposal, business development, or project management role within the offshore or marine industry.
Strong commercial insight with a track record of developing pricing strategies and winning proposals.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to travel across Europe and Africa as needed.
A nationally recognised business or technical qualification or equivalent vocational qualification.

What will you do?
A penchant for business development, working out of your own office, you'll meet & engage new and repeat customers in your territory; assessing their needs, you will provide a truly consultative Stonhard solution. Customer sales calls include a mix of existing/repeat business along with prospecting for new customers and projects. Closely work with your manager to meet & exceed sales goals. Participate in overseeing the successful delivery of product installation, ensuring optimum customer satisfaction. Project management responsibilities include ensuring raw materials are on site, construction crews have everything they need and troubleshooting any installation issues that may come up. Full turn-key operation ensures a smooth install and helps secure next project in another area or building. Will participate in an enriching training process spanning over two years, traveling to our headquarters for pre-planned, scheduled training(s).
Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Uncapped Commission potential (First 2 years): approx. $15,000 - $50,000

Our Apprenticeships
We are looking for a motivated, passionate individual to join our team as an Apprentice Chef.
You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food with the aim to delivering an excellent customer experience. You would also be required to undertake all reasonable duties as assigned by the Head Chef.
Ensuring all menu items and specials are prepared, cooked and presented to company specification
Maintaining portion control and ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum
Receiving and checking food deliveries
Assisting the Head Chef with orders, stock taking, food hygiene, training and development of the team
Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is maintained and is working correctly
Maximising the full sales potential of the restaurant and ensuring high standards are maintained
You must have basic cooking skills and have the desire to learn new ones. You will have a good working attitude and enjoy the buzz of working in a busy kitchen environment.
As part of this apprenticeship you will work towards an industry wide recognised Level 2 in Food Production and Cooking. The training will be delivered in the form of work-based learning and will include functional skills.
The Apprenticeships last for 12 - 15 months and will enable you to develop through a structured training programme. As an Apprentice with Marston's, you will gain a nationally recognised Standard giving you an ideal grounding for a career in the hospitality industry. Learning is all on-site, so there is no need for our Apprentices to attend college, and our Apprentices are all paid national minimum wage, which is above the standard Apprentice rate. Throughout your Apprenticeship you will be supported by your Manager and our Apprenticeship provider too, so you will be given all the help and advice you need to succeed. Upon completion of the Marston's Apprenticeship Programme, you will be set up to develop further through the Marston's career path.
Ideal candidate
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals with a desire to develop and succeed. You will be required to deliver a high standard of customer service. Able to work under pressure, you must also be able to resolve any customer complaints to achieve a satisfactory outcome. You'll also ensure high standards of cleanliness whilst ensuring at all times that legal requirements are strictly adhered to. You must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
