The role will support six of our schools; Lea Forest Primary Academy, Greenwood Academy, Montgomery Primary Academy, Percy Shurmer Academy, Four Dwellings Academy, and Four Dwellings Primary Academy, your primary base will be at the school closest to your home, with expected travel between sites as needed.
Provide technical support: Assist schools with their IT needs.
Collaborate with the team: Work alongside experienced IT professionals to deliver exceptional support.
Develop your skills: Gain valuable hands-on experience and receive ongoing training.
Training:
During your apprenticeship (typically 21-months - this will be determined by your existing qualifications and/or experience) you will be assigned a Trainer and will work towards the IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship standard (level 3) or the which has highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours which can be applied across all sectors
You may also be required to complete Maths and English Functional Skills (this will be determined by your existing qualifications). Your Trainer will meet with you virtually every two weeks with onsite observations and formal reviews taking place every 12-weeks
You will fully commit to the 20% off-the-job training requirements of the post alongside your normal day-to-day job

Our three-year Advanced Apprenticeship Substations programme will train you to become a craftsperson in our substations. Here, we transform high-voltage electricity into low-voltage electricity, making it usable for homes and businesses.
As a technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our substations and ensuring a safe and reliable electricity supply.
During the apprenticeship, you'll learn
Maintenance techniques for power transformers, main connections, terminals, and various types of joints
Experience working with air systems, batteries, and environmental battery charger systems
Following strict safety guidelines, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and monitoring of high-voltage substation equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, disconnectors, compressors, and auxiliary systems
Your skills and expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our substations and the overall electricity transmission network.Training:
Initially, you will be at our National Training Centre in Eakring, Nottinghamshire for your Induction period which is around six weeks, then periodically for technical training
In the first year, you will spend 70% of your time at the Eakring Training Centre with the remaining 30% on-site (gathering site-based experience)
Year two will be 50/50 at Eakring and on-site and in the third year 70% on-site and 30% at Eakring training centre
You will get a Level 3 Power Network Craftsperson qualification at the end of the 3 years
Training Outcome:
By the end of the programme, you'll hold a Level 3 qualification as a Power Industry Substation Fitter, and most importantly, if you're the right candidate, you may have a job waiting for you!

The day-to-day tasks include:
Observing and assisting technicians
Following health and safety procedures
Servicing
MOTs
All aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair
Training:Not only will apprentices be working and be trained at a DAF garage, they will attend our DAF Academy in Nottingham four times a year, for two-week periods, to work towards their Heavy vehicle service and maintenance technician Standard
A Skills Coach will visit at least every 28 days as part of a close support network, to ensure that apprentices are both enjoying and succeeding in their course.
An Apprentice’s training includes:
Technical Certificate - IMI Diploma Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT (if required)
Recognised Welding Certificate
Apprenticeship standard - Heavy vehicle service and maintenance technician level 3
Training Outcome:
