A client of mine is a large Housing Association is looking for a full time permanent Commercial Contracts Specialist on a full time permanent basis.
In this role, you will enhance commercial excellence within your department by leading contract management activities for several complex, high-value, strategic, and operational contracts. You are expected to leverage your commercial expertise to mobilise contracts, manage their delivery and performance, implement contract changes, and handle risk management within the contracts. Additionally, you will oversee contract transitions and exits.
Key Accountabilities include:
To own and maintain the Property Services contracting database
Responsible for oversight and monitoring of the implementation of a portfolio of live contracts across Property Services.
Responsible for managing and communicating all contract changes, and control notices, instigated through contract negotiation, performance, change requests, contract extensions, and contract innovation.
Coordination of the contractual documentation sign-off process with the Procurement Team
Provide commercial advice and guidance on contractual matters, referring to and co-ordinating external legal advice where required.
Oversee payment assessments, and supplier performance, and conduct supplier audits.
Ensure adherence to contract KPIs and deliver regular performance feedback.
Represent the commercial team at monthly review meetings with all contractors (strategic and important partners) where we spend more than £5m over the life of the contract.
Work with other key stakeholders to ensure smooth contract transitions and adherence to commercial and legal standards during the contract lifecycle.
Liaison with other key subject matter experts across the business, i.e. finance, health and safety, and procurement, to ensure compliance with the contractual and commercial obligations.
Be a central point of contact for all operational portfolio leads, about any commercial or contractual issues

You will be responsible for supporting the safe installation, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management on highways and road networks, while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a Lead Traffic Management Operative. Your hourly rate will increase as you progress through the training program.
The role is critical to ensuring the safety of road users, colleagues and the public, while maintaining compliance with current legislation, codes of practice and company procedures. The post holder will work towards increasing responsibility on site, including supporting the coordination of traffic management activities.
The purpose of your role will be to deliver Traffic Management solutions for our clients in line with Health and Safety regulations.
The safe delivery of our workload to the highest possible standards is priority. As part of your role, you may be required to:
Assist in the installation, maintenance, monitoring and removal of temporary traffic management in accordance with approved drawings, permits and the Traffic Signs Manual (Chapter 8)
