The apprentice will work alongside experienced engineers to learn how to inspect, service, and repair industrial cleaning equipment. This is a hands-on role with a mix of workshop-based work and on-site support visits.
Typical tasks include:
Assisting with diagnostics, maintenance and basic repairs on cleaning machines.
Preparing and testing machines before delivery or hire.
Cleaning, inspecting and replacing worn parts.

The Process Engineer provides process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production and packaging functions to improve safety, quality, service and cost efficiencies in the operations area in the Pacific, MO manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
Support daily production needs through process troubleshooting, experimentation and support for production requirements. Work with project managers on designing and installing PLC controls for capital projects. Work with Allen-Bradley PLC's to maintain and improve current operations. Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, increase material utilization, improve first time right, integrate new products/processes into production and reduce variation. Implement necessary changes and update all documentation (including drawings and SOP's) accordingly. Coordinates with plant engineer to oversee capital projects necessary for the continued improvement and modernization of the plant. Ensure completion of projects within budgets. Responsible for achieving and maintaining safety goals relative to the maintenance and engineering functions. Responsible for safety devices, safe design, etc. of all equipment. Administer process hazard analyses (PHA's) for identified materials, processes, and RHP Compliance. Create and maintain P&IDs for current and future processes. Support the implementation of statistical process control by implementation of data collection systems Support the site's environmental program by assisting with reporting, compliance monitoring, and QA results in support of process engineering improvements. Troubleshooting machinery, including PLC coding adjustments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial engineering. 0 to 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment. Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience. Safety and ergonomic experience. Understanding of process control methods, flowmeters, level monitors, and other process controls within a batch manufacturing process. Mechanically inclined with a hands-on approach Previous Capital Project experience Ability to read and interpret process drawings Strong interpersonal skills: good communication skills both written and verbal. Strong Analytical & Troubleshooting skills. PC usage with MS Office Suite Strong AutoCAD skillset. Calibration Lab:
Performing maintenance, repairs, and testing on various calibration equipment as per customer requirements, as well as for internal engineers for scheduled field-based jobs
Calibration of temperature, level, flow, electrical and pressure equipment
Calibrating equipment in line with UKAS standards, ensuring calibration equipment are safe, compliant, and certified against national and internationally recognised standards under supervision of the Lab and Accreditation Manager
Panel Lab:
Design and code Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to automate processes according to customer specifications
Build and assemble automated systems based on design plans
Perform validation and testing of control panels and associated equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications
Create detailed electrical and mechanical schematic drawings using CAD software
Field Based:
Shadow and as appropriate assist field-based engineers with calibration service jobs at customer sites to ensure systems operate correctly
Provide on-site support for equipment breakdowns. Diagnose issues, advise on solutions, and either perform immediate repairs or schedule follow-up service. If necessary, send parts to the lab for further analysis or repair under the supervision of the field-based engineer

DESCRIPTION
Part of the Manufacturing Team, responsible for the inspection, assembly and unit testing of Linear Accelerators and associated sub-assemblies and products.
The production assembly activity builds and tests a wide range of electro/mechanical sub-assemblies and systems.
The assemblies are built to controlled work instructions and drawings.
Where required the assemblies may be tested to a Production Test Schedule (PTS).
Both the assembly and test activities may necessitate the use of specialist tools or test equipment as specified within Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, drawing package or Production Test Schedules.
Device History Records (DHR) are compiled and completed during assembly and testing processes via the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Test results are recorded within MES which are determined by the associated PTS and this will include recording test results, serial numbers of parts/assemblies and P numbers of test equipment (i.e. their equipment ID numbers).
Faulty components and non-conforming material are rejected using the NCR procedure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the assembly and test of the product to the drawing specification and relevant Production Test Schedule (PTS) ensuring all build and test documentation used is the correct issue.
When material or assembly quality problems are identified an NCR must be raised and the appropriate short term corrective action taken (i.e. repair or reject), ensuring the NCR process is followed.
If for any reason the specification is found to be incorrect or sub-standard then a change request must be raised to identify the problem so appropriate development actions can be taken to resolve the issue.
To fault find problems and where necessary replace and retest non-conforming parts.
To maintain a clean and safe working environment, taking responsibility for tools, equipment, test bay and any product being tested.
Use appropriate PPE and adhere to all necessary safety protocols.
Designated trainers are responsible for training other operators in applicable assembly and test procedures.
Where required, ESD precautions must be followed.
Assist other functions within the business such as production, spares, service, or training as directed by the Mfg Manger – Systems Test. This could include the need to assist with testing products, fault finding, assisting other departments or personnel.
AUTHORITIES
Complete tasks and documentation where covered by current training records.
Complete non-conformance reports and sign off tasks where covered by current training records.
