As the Project Manager you will take lead of the development and launch of new new products and updates to existing products.

THE ROLE:
Lead and manage new and existing products from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

THE PERSON:
Must have 3-5 years of experience within a project manager role.
Degree in Mechanics or Automation.
Must be Italian and English fluent.
Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple projects.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in FMEA tools, risk analysis (8D, 5Why)
Knowledge in JIRA, Confluence, Windchill would be an advantage.

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment

- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs

Advanced Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for the overhaul and manufacture of components and assemblies found within our complex radar and underwater military products.
Manufacturing Technicians will typically have mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, bias and operate across multiple disciplines depending on the type of project being undertaken. To produce or re-furbish the components found in our underwater military products, Manufacturing Technicians will interpret drawings/specifications to plan their work, for example, ensuring they have the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task to the required specification.
Manufacturing Technicians are required to check their work against quality standards and make adjustments as required based on their knowledge.
During this four-year apprenticeship, the Advanced Manufacturing Apprentice will develop a detailed understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, to include but not limited to electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, Printed Circuit Board rework and Microelectronics processing. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship, the apprentice will be able to perform complex assembly/disassembly or modification tasks to industry standards such as IPC and ANSI-J on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies and systems – encompassing new build, repairs, and prototype products.
The Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship has a typical duration of 48 months, the first year of which is spent in our Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. During the first 12 months of your programme, you will undertake a range of practical engineering activities that are supported by our dedicated Engineering Skills Coaches.
On successful completion of your initial engineering training, you will transition to your manufacturing areas at Broad Oak, Hilsea, Portsmouth, where you will continue to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will gain valuable experience working on military products, which will culminate in you completing your End Point Assessment.

The Instrumentation Calibration Services (ICS) department has the responsibility of calibration, maintenance, managed collection, storage and delivery of test & measurement and equipment to support the Barrow site & external commercial customers. Equipment maintained and calibrated includes Electrical, Mechanical, Dimensional & Optical, Temperature, Gas, Fixed Plant and Ionizing Radiation test and measurement equipment.
The core duties include but are not limited to:
Calibration, maintenance and repair of test and measurement equipment, in line with programme and commercial requirements
You will work with subject matter experts and experienced professionals to support and provide advice to all build teams on critical measurement activities to ensure equipment meets specification
Use of cutting edge metrology hardware and software, providing the opportunity to be involved with developing the automation of equipment and laboratory standards
Calibration of on-site equipment and supporting specialist measurement projects
The role combines multiple functions from within the company, including; Engineering, Quality and Operations, providing a unique perspective to how the wider business operates. We balance hands on calibration with technical measurement support and act as the interface with key stakeholders on projects.

Main responsibilities:
Answering calls for the service department.
Logging, recording, and managing calls outs including those that require access booking.
Monitoring and managing jobs on the internal systems to ensure they are issued to engineers or subcontractors.
Despatching customer calls to engineers and contractors.
Booking access with customers for engineer visits.
Raising purchase orders to contractors for call outs or suppliers for equipment.
Managing the engineers’ diaries and daily route planning.
Receive engineer requests for training, tools, etc., and pass them on to the relevant supervisor.
Managing and booking PPM’s (planned preventative maintenance).
Creating and issuing of O&M documentation.
Reporting on logged jobs, and engineer visits attended.
Run, populate & manage reports for the maintenance division within AIS.
Attend office or onsite meetings if required.
Assisting with engineer/operatives timesheets.
Typing and recording of invoices/payment applications.
General administration duties that may also be required, i.e., scanning/filing or any reasonable request by manage mentor directors.
Areas of responsibility/accountability:
Liaise with other departments within the business to help ensure the smooth and efficient passage of high-quality information and data.
To help maintain (and improve) all of the company's procedures in accordance with the Health & Safety, Quality Management and Operational Systems.

You will be utilising your research and development experience to come up with novel solutions to complex engineering problems on the company’s electromechanical instrumentation technology.
