The Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will:
Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts across Devon & Cornwall.
Identify and win new business opportunities throughout the territory.
Sell a market-leading range of industrial, engineering and automotive consumables.
Build long-term relationships through regular face-to-face customer visits.
Achieve sales and margin targets while delivering excellent customer service.
Manage your sales pipeline and activity using CRM.

About You
You’ll ideally have field sales experience within industrial, engineering, automotive or a related technical market, selling products such as:
Industrial consumables or MRO supplies
Automotive aftermarket products
Workshop equipment or hand tools
PPE, fasteners and fixings
Adhesives and lubricants
Similar technical or industrial products
You’ll be commercially driven and self-motivated, with a proven ability to develop existing accounts and win new business. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a full UK driving licence.

The Redline Group is seeking a highly motivated Contract EC&I Technician to join our East Yorkshire-based client on a Contract basis, supporting the delivery and commissioning of a large-scale fertiliser production facility. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of the site team, ensuring electrical, control and instrumentation systems are installed, tested, calibrated and commissioned to the highest standards.
As the Contract EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and instrumentation installation, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning activities across multiple process systems. You will work closely with Engineering, Construction and Commissioning teams to ensure systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
Key responsibilities for the Contract EC&I Technician, East Yorkshire:
Installation, maintenance and fault-finding of LV electrical systems
Cable glanding, termination and panel wiring activities
Installation, testing and commissioning of motor starters including DOL, star-delta, soft starters and VSDs
Loop checking, I/O testing and signal verification activities
Calibration and testing of pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters and level instrumentation
Installation, testing and maintenance of control valves and associated instrumentation
Supporting PLC, SCADA and HMI system fault-finding and commissioning activities
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings and Cause & Effect documentation
Updating redline drawings and maintaining accurate maintenance and calibration records
Working in accordance with Permit to Work systems, RAMS and site safety procedures
Supporting commissioning, start-up and handover activities across plant systems
Key skills required – Contract EC&I Technician, East Yorkshire:
Previous experience as an EC&I Technician, E&I Technician, Instrument Technician or Electrical Technician within an industrial environment
Experience working on process plants, chemical, petrochemical, fertiliser, power generation, manufacturing or similar heavy engineering projects
Strong electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills on LV systems
Experience calibrating and maintaining industrial instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow and level devices
Knowledge of PLC systems, I/O testing, loop checks and control systems
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop drawings and technical documentation
Understanding of Permit to Work systems, RAMS and safe systems of work
MEWP licence and commissioning experience would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
