You’ll be working both in the office and site-based activities that could include:
Site based environmental monitoring such as water and soil sampling
Site based support for our ground investigation projects
Preparing information and undertaking assessments to support environmental desk study appraisals and subsequent assessments
Environmental data entry and management, becoming familiar with industry data formats including software packages for the management of geotechnical and Geo-environmental data
Geological appraisal
Working individually (with supervision) or as part of a site team
Helping prepare factual reports
Training:During your apprenticeship, we will provide a designated mentor to support you in your role & development and there will be opportunities to learn from the wider team which includes a range of technical experts in areas such as:
Ground investigatio
Logging of soils and rock
Environmental monitorin
Human health, controlled waters and gas risk assessmen
Desk studies and Preliminary Risk Assessment
Minerals appraisals
Coal mining risk assessments
Ground engineering appraisals
Waste classification and material reuse
Successful completion of this course will enable you to confidently advance in this industry.
