The apprentice will learn how to:
Prepare floors ready for installation, including cleaning and levelling subfloors.
Measure rooms and help calculate the materials needed for each job.
Install carpets, vinyl flooring and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) to a high standard.
Use specialist flooring tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Handle and transport flooring materials carefully.
Work alongside experienced floorlayers to complete installations in customers' homes.
Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Attend apprenticeship training and complete coursework and assessments.
Training:During your Level 2 Floor Layer apprenticeship programme you will receive training both off and on-the-job. You will be trained at the employer within the workplace and also at Webs Training in Beeston on a block release basis for a week at a time every 10 weeks, costs are covered by the employer.Training Outcome:Excellent opportunities to progress into a qualified floorlayer position after successfully completing the apprenticeship.Employer Description:Langan Carpets & Interiors has built an excellent reputation for quality flooring and outstanding customer service.
