OneSubsea recruit apprentices to follow a 4-year programme. Their apprentices get the chance to develop product knowledge and skills in, leadership, customer interaction and delivery of all aspects of the Engineering scope and to put engineering principles into practice on real projects.
Each apprentice is assigned a mentor and is given coaching and support throughout the apprenticeship scheme. The scheme gives the apprenticeships opportunity to study at college and then to use that knowledge and skills in the workplace.

You will work as an Apprentice Mechanical Technician. You will be required to complete a three-and-a-half-year training programme that will cover all aspects of the role delivered through in-house training, alongside day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Abingdon & Witney college.

We are seeking to employ and train 1 Technician Apprentice
You will be highly trained to work in the world of manufacturing. The initial training will be broad based and could lead to a first appointment as a Technician
The main operators are MIG welders and they are supported by material handling personnel who prepare the parts.
The material preparation include use of cutting machines, hand grinders, pedestal drillers.
The apprentice will become familiar with all these operations whilst on site.
They will also be assisting in the operation of the Plasma Cutter which cuts out metal shapes. The design drawing is loaded into system and converts the information into a a programme file (Computer Aided Manufacturing) which tells the machine what shape and dimensions to cut.

Year 4:
