My client, based in Kent, is looking for an Electronic Service & Repair Engineer to join their growing service team. They are a specialist in advanced imaging and sensing solutions, designing and manufacturing thermal imaging, infrared camera and sensor systems used across defence, security, industrial inspection and public safety applications.
The role is site-based, with occasional travel, in Kent and will involve working as part of a collaborative service organisation responsible for the evaluation, failure diagnosis, repair, calibration and adjustment of thermal imaging products and systems.
Responsibilities for the Electronic Service & Repair Engineer based in Kent:
Evaluate, diagnose, repair, calibrate and adjust thermal imaging products, infrared cameras and associated sensor systems.
Use knowledge of electronic theory, thermography and optics to complete daily service, fault-finding and technical support activities.
Work closely with Customer Service, the Service Manager and wider technical teams, providing timely updates and clear progress reports.
Engage with customers where needed to explain complex technical issues, service findings and proposed repair solutions.
Operate hand tools and electronic test equipment to support product evaluation, repair, calibration and verification.
Perform software and firmware updates on camera products, using computer systems and embedded programming knowledge where appropriate.
Skills and requirements for the Electronic Service & Repair Engineer based in Kent:
Qualification in electronics, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on experience in electronics repair, assembly, service or calibration.
Ability to operate electronic test equipment and confidently navigate computer operating systems.
Understanding of metrology principles, calibration processes and laboratory operations.
Experience with thermography, optics, SAP PR1, Oracle ticketing systems, embedded programming or camera products would be beneficial.
Able to work at a bench and from a standing position, with the ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs from time to time.

Our Client:Is a pioneering family-owned Swiss company specialising in power electronics that designs, manufactures, and supplies high-power RF amplifiers and transmitters for various industries, including broadcasting, telecommunications, military and defence, and scientific research.
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our client's team, who is responsible for developing test requirements, creating test instructions, and testing PCBs, assemblies, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and measurement technology, with practical experience in handling measuring equipment and a good understanding of radio frequency and power engineering.
Main Responsabilities:
Development of test requirements and new test methods in collaboration with the development department
Creation of test instructions and test reports
Testing, repairing (requires e.g. soldering skills) and commissioning of PCB’s, assemblies and systems as well as participation in tests in the test field
Checking production orders and goods receipt material according to quality characteristics
Perform factory inspections with customers
Management of measuring equipment storage
Construction of test facilities for the rationalization of test procedures
Required Competencies:
Completed technical training in the direction of electronics/measurement technology, technician school, an advantage
Practical experience in handling measuring equipment
Knowledge of radio frequency and power engineering is an advantage
Excellent knowledge of German and English
Positive attitude to work
Reliable team player with a pronounced quality awareness
Enjoy working independently

Field Sales Engineer
Location: West Midlands & South West England – Field Based (Regular UK Travel)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Sales Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation developing and supplying advanced RF, microwave and electronic technology solutions into defence, aerospace, telecommunications, satellite communications and other high-performance industries.
The company designs and delivers technically complex RF and microwave solutions for customers operating in mission-critical environments, working closely with OEMs, system integrators and engineering teams to solve challenging technical applications. With continued investment in innovation and customer support, the business is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced technical sales professional.
This is a customer-facing role combining technical expertise with commercial responsibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts and supporting customers throughout the complete sales lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, operations and commercial teams, you will provide technical guidance, develop tailored solutions and help drive continued business growth across strategically important markets.
This role would suit a technically minded sales professional with experience of RF, microwave, electronics or communications technologies who enjoys developing long-term customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.
Main Responsibilities of the Field Sales Engineer (West Midlands & South West England):
Identify and develop new business opportunities across defence, aerospace, telecommunications, satellite communications and advanced electronics markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, engineering teams, procurement departments and strategic customer accounts
Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations and site visits throughout the region
Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable RF and microwave solutions
Prepare quotations, proposals and support commercial negotiations to secure profitable business opportunities
Work closely with engineering teams to support solution development and technical feasibility assessments
Manage customers throughout the complete sales lifecycle from initial enquiry through to project delivery
Maintain accurate CRM records including pipeline activity, forecasts and customer interactions
Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging RF and microwave technologies
Attend industry exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings to promote the company's capabilities
Deliver agreed sales targets and contribute to wider commercial growth objectives
Provide customer and market feedback to support future product development and business strategy
Ensure compliance with export control regulations, confidentiality requirements and relevant industry standards
Requirements of the Field Sales Engineer (West Midlands & South West England):
Proven experience within technical sales, field sales engineering or engineering sales
Background within RF, microwave, electronics, telecommunications or closely related engineering sectors
Strong understanding of RF and microwave technologies, electronic systems or electronic components
Ability to understand technical customer requirements and translate these into commercial solutions
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with engineering, procurement and commercial stakeholders
Experience delivering technical presentations and supporting customer solution development
Commercially driven with the ability to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities
Strong customer account management skills with the ability to build long-term partnerships
Experience using CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and forecasting
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based environment
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel regularly across the West Midlands and South West England, with occasional wider UK and international travel
