As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain and support IT infrastructure while contributing to project delivery, automation and continuous improvement. This role offers salary £78,000 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:
* Design, plan and implement physical and virtual IT infrastructure solutions.
* Deliver infrastructure projects in line with agreed customer requirements and timescales.
* Maintain and support existing IT infrastructure and deployed systems.
* Diagnose and resolve infrastructure faults and technical issues efficiently.
* Monitor system performance and carry out routine maintenance, including backups, patching, vulnerability management and hardware/software upgrades.
* Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation for supported infrastructure.
* Record significant incidents, investigations and actions taken to resolve issues.
* Create and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline routine system administration tasks.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
* Previously worked as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role.
* Valid DV clearance.
* Experience within systems administration and IT infrastructure support.
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
* Background leading or taking ownership of IT project delivery.
* Strong knowledge of networking technologies and equipment, including Cisco, Juniper, HP and Dell.
* Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and related networking protocols.
* Familiarity with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
* Practical knowledge of Ansible/AWX, Python, PowerShell and BASH for scripting or infrastructure automation.
* Experience managing and supporting Microsoft and Linux environments.
* Knowledge of backup technologies, including NetBackup and Veeam.
Desirable:
* Background working in an Agile team.
* Understanding and use of Source Control (Gitlab, BitBucket).
