During the Project Management Degree Apprenticeship you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of different projects by gathering information about time, cost and quality constraints, identifying and analysing data trends and driving actions to their conclusion.
You will maintain, update and report on key project data, identify any potential issues and help to identify and reduce risks as the project progresses and help make effective decisions to move the project along. Throughout the scheme you will have the opportunity to work across different stages of the project lifecycle to develop your skills and gain invaluable experience.
Alongside on the job experience, you will receive a full BA Hons in Project Management, and gain a Professional Qualification accredited by the Association of Project Management (APM).

Year 1 is full-time residential (classroom) training at one of our training provider facilities. During the Maritime Electrical Fitter Advanced Apprenticeship, you will develop a range of different engineering skills and underpinning knowledge to successfully complete this apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship you will gain valuable experience working on maritime vessels which will culminate in you completing your End Point Assessment.
The Maritime Electrical Fitter Apprenticeship has a typical duration of 48 months, the first year of which, is spent in our Skills and Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. During the Engineering Higher Apprenticeship you will develop knowledge, skills and behaviours across a range of different engineering disciplines/placements. During this time you will gain valuable experience within electrical and mechanical engineering environments, which will culminate in you completing an End Point Assessment with a view of becoming an Engineering Technician.

The role of a Logistics Apprentice within BAE Systems Submarines involves working across a variety of different areas within Logistics and Inventory Management to ensure the vital supply of materials and services to support our various customers with an ultimate aim to support our operational programs.
A significant proportion of the logistics apprenticeship framework concentrates on developing people in two main areas, Warehousing & Satellite Build Support Stores. Warehousing placements sees individuals learn key principles around facilitating deliveries, Manual Handling principles, appropriate storage techniques, Stock rotation, packaging methods and housekeeping cleanliness. Satellite Build Support Stores placements are a more customer centric role close to the build line providing continuous support to our operations colleagues to ensure the correct material is delivered at the right time to support the submarine build programme. This framework across the two areas provides apprentices with a huge amount of variety whilst continuously allowing growth in a plethora of different skills.
This apprenticeship is one ideally suited to enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills. During phase 1 you will undertake theory and practical learning in a range of subjects. Some of the theory topics are maths, human factors and digital techniques. Your practical will include learning to carry out: metalwork, modifications, electrics and structural manufacturing
In phase 2 you will be located in either Luton or Gatwick. You will be working in our aircraft maintenance facilities on shift under the guidance of our experienced engineers and mechanics
During phase 2 you will be required to complete a portfolio or evidence, linked to your apprenticeship journey, from the various tasks you have undertaken on the aircraft and its systems
You will be supported throughout all phases of the programme, securing UKCAA and EASA Part-66 Category A1 modules on a fully approved course - with supporting qualifications for practical training - enabling a licence application after 2 years subject to CAA criteria

Advanced Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for the overhaul and manufacture of components and assemblies found within our complex radar and underwater military products.
Manufacturing Technicians will typically have mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, bias and operate across multiple disciplines depending on the type of project being undertaken. To produce or re-furbish the components found in our underwater military products, Manufacturing Technicians will interpret drawings/specifications to plan their work, for example, ensuring they have the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task to the required specification.
Manufacturing Technicians are required to check their work against quality standards and make adjustments as required based on their knowledge.
During this four-year apprenticeship, the Advanced Manufacturing Apprentice will develop a detailed understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, to include but not limited to electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, Printed Circuit Board rework and Microelectronics processing. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship, the apprentice will be able to perform complex assembly/disassembly or modification tasks to industry standards such as IPC and ANSI-J on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies and systems – encompassing new build, repairs, and prototype products.
The Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship has a typical duration of 48 months, the first year of which is spent in our Skills Development Centre located in Portsmouth Naval Base. During the first 12 months of your programme, you will undertake a range of practical engineering activities that are supported by our dedicated Engineering Skills Coaches.
On successful completion of your initial engineering training, you will transition to your manufacturing areas at Broad Oak, Hilsea, Portsmouth, where you will continue to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will gain valuable experience working on military products, which will culminate in you completing your End Point Assessment.
