The two co founders of Adam Walsh and Mark Kilvington had spent over 40 years in the industry and over that time had seen it become a corporate money making machine where the customer was now coming second in order to fulfil the profit expectations of the international holding company owners. They brought in leading experts in the fields of Nick Dodds (Commercials), Nicholle Anderson (Customer Service) & Joseph Simpson (Sales) to assist in building a business that had to buck the trend of the word ‘fuel cards’ and start working for the client instead of the other way around. So, in an effort to go from poacher to gamekeeper they wanted to start a business that not only helped businesses secure a great deal for their fuel cards, but to manage and monitor it for them each week to ensure it stayed a great deal week on week. This would then mean businesses could avoid the hassle of having to swap and change every few months and jumping from the frying pan into the fryer. They setup contracted agreement with certain fuel card providers so that any Driving Down member that took out their cards would receive free cards for life, a contracted market tracking price & a lifetime guarantee of no fees or charges applied to the account. This meant customers could have the peace of mind their fuel cards were well looked after and managed. In time there also came a demand from clients to help and assist them manage their current fuel card provider. The hassle of switching cards and changing provider could be a logistical nightmare, so acting as their in house fuel card management would be more beneficial. So the team at Driving Down setup the ‘Fuel Management Partner’ package. So they could then work on the clients behalf each week to negotiate with their supplier to get them a better price to avoid being overcharged. They could analyse the invoices to find surcharges or fees that could be reduced or removed & in turn save the client significant amounts on their monthly fuel costs, plus taking away what is usual an arduous job within a business.Working Hours :Working hours 30 per week, Tuesday - Friday.Skills: Communication skills,IT skills,Attention to detail,Organisation skills,Customer care skills,Team working,Initiative,Non judgemental,Patience,Flexible,Good attendance record,Proactive,Telephony Skills,Confident ....Read more...
