Responsibilites of a Mechanical Fitter:
Producing product to engineering drawings and instructions
Mechanical fitting of ECS & LSS equipment
OCQ Operator Control of Quality (i.e. Stamping to confirm quality of assemblies)
To achieve on time delivery by ensuring work is completed on time and to the required
standard
Interpreting engineering drawings, following the process layout and documentation
procedures
Working effectively in a lean environment
Qualifications & Experience Required for a Mechanical Fitter:
Engineering Apprenticeship (Desirable but not Essential)
Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly / Fitting Applications
High standard of Health & Safety
Adhering to Company Processes & Procedures
Working in a Customer-focused environment and achieving targets
Working with Designers and Engineers
Attributes/Skills Required for a mechanical Fitter:
The position requires the applicant to have an understanding of Aerospace practice
and the significance of the safety critical work undertaken (Manufacturing experience
also considered)
PC literate
Ability to read and follow instructions

The Mechanical Fitter position is working with an international HGV vehicle manufacturer. It offers the ability to work within a modern, well-organised and safe working environment, in which low staff turnover exists and employees feel valued, through the training available and overall excellent working conditions that are available.
Working days Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for the mechanical fitting of ancillary equipment onto HGV vehicles, the work is both varied and interesting, including:
Working with vehicle chassis fitting component parts
Installing hydraulic/pneumatic systems, P pump systems
