Mechanical / Vehicle Fitter

The Mechanical Fitter position is working with an international HGV vehicle manufacturer.

It offers the ability to work within a modern, well-organised and safe working environment, in which low staff turnover exists and employees feel valued, through the training available and overall excellent working conditions that are available.

Working days Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for the mechanical fitting of ancillary equipment onto HGV vehicles, the work is both varied and interesting, including:

Working with vehicle chassis fitting component parts
Installing hydraulic/pneumatic systems, P pump systems
Being able to weld would be an advantage, but not essential
Working upon both standard and bespoke projects to include the development of new systems and ways of working, as part of a team

We would be very keen to speak to Mechanical fitters who have worked with HGVs, Road Tankers, Commercial Vehicles, etc, ideally demonstrating experience of working as an HGV Fitter or HGV Technician, Vehicle fitter, Vehicle body builder, Maintenance engineer, mechanical fitter, service engineer, hydraulic engineer, pump fitter, or perhaps plant fitter.
