Key Responsibilities of the General Operative:
Moving and distributing materials.
Using a variety of different hand tools (Band Saw, Pillar Drills)
Ensuring the working environment is kept clean and tidy.
Heavy manual lifting.
Working Hours of the General Operative:
Monday to Thursday- 07:30-16:00
Friday- 07:30-12:00
In return, the successful General Operative will receive:
£13.50-£14 Per hour.
Early finish on a Friday
Overtime available (paid at a premium)
Holidays begin with 28 days, rising to 33 days per annum.

Due to continued demand across the manufacturing operation, this well-established manufacturer is looking to recruit additional Mechanical Fitters to support transformer assembly operations within a modern production facility. We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in mechanical fitting, heavy assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environments.
The Mechanical Fitter role will involve: • Working from production drawings, specifications, and build documentation • Mechanical assembly of core, clamp, and winding components • Preparing and positioning winding assemblies for installation • Ensuring components meet specification and quality standards throughout the build • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
In return, the Mechanical Fitter will receive: • £32,450 annual salary including shift allowance • Overtime paid at premium rates • 33 days holiday • 10% combined pension contribution • Paid breaks and additional company benefits
Mechanical Fitter requirements: • Previous mechanical fitting or assembly experience • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings • Welding, brazing, or soldering experience would be beneficial • Crane, slinging, or lifting experience would be advantageous
Working hours for the Mechanical Fitter: • Week 1: Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 14:00 • Week 2: Monday to Thursday – 12:30 to 22:00
