Holt Engineering Recruitment are looking for a Stores Person to join one of their clients based in Edinburgh.
As the Stores Person you will play a vital role within the company, supporting the business in the upkeep and organisation of the on-site store.
The responsibilities for the Stores Person role will include:
- Manage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of products
- Organize and maintain records of inventories.
- Processing received deliveries and distribution to factory efficiently.
- Processing production orders, and all other material/component requests to factory.
- Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding logistics
- Delivery driving of company van to deliver materials
- Forklift operating
- Recognise continuous imporvement and implemenet processes were needed.
The key skills required for the Stores Person:
- Previous experience working within Stores or Logistics is essential
- Great understanding of supply chain, inventory and distribution
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous systems experience & able to use PC programmes
- Forklift licence
- Full UK driving licence
This position is Monday to Friday working 8am - 5pm with flexible start/finish times up to 1 hour. The role is paying £12.30-£14.50ph

Component and system design, including simulation and predictive techniques to refine designs
Development of drawings and other information to support the release of parts onto Bill of Materials and engine lists in preparation for volume production
Write and review technical information and reports to support production design release
Collaborate with suppliers to develop specifications and deliver quality solutions through Advanced Product Quality Planning
Training:
Alongside on-the-job training supported by relatable mentors, apprentices will spend at least 20% of their working hours completing university-based learning leading to a nationally recognised qualification through the Level 6 Product Design and Development Engineer apprenticeship standard

Assist and learn from the team in the creation and implementation of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to SHE
Learn and be involved in making and maintaining necessary SHE records according to established guidelines
Be involved and learning about risk management at a fundamental level with increasing levels of autonomy and responsibility as you learn and increase your SHE skills
Training:
