The successful candidate, who will be reporting to the department line supervisor/manager, will be dealing with import shipments and import customer services, for general accounts and larger key account customers
The person will work as a part of the import team and arrange shipments from Europe to UK based customers, by use of the existing DSV road-freight and distribution network across Europe, along with internal UK distribution and warehousing departments
The role will involve communicating with the local DSV depots across the UK and Europe to ensure deliveries are done in accordance with our customers’ requirements. There will also be a degree of customer services involved with direct communication to the customer(s)

1. To perform reception duties in Visitors' Reception, to include:
i. sorting and distributing of incoming College post and internal post
ii. ensuring that all visitors to the College are signed in and appropriate checks have been carried out where necessary, including students who have forgotten their ID cards
iii. dealing with incoming enquiries via the main College switchboard
iv. dealing with incoming enquires via the enquiry email account

2. To keep the stationary cupboard stocked and replenish booklets and forms used in the reception area when necessary.

You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 qualification.

Optometrist - Role
Deliver first class eye examinations, contact lens care and other eyecare services provided by the practice.

Treat each patient as an individual and afford them the best eyecare they can expect to receive as an individual and unique person.
Listen, empathise and understand the unique needs and desires of each patient and ensure they receive the best eyecare possible – understand that everyone deserves the best.
Carry out the required examination in an enthusiastic and caring manner.
Explain each step of the examination so that the patient understands what is happening.
Discuss fully the various ways we have to correct their vision or other eye or eye health related issues.

As an apprentice, you will assist in developing packaging concepts, creating prototypes, and collaborating with various teams, from concept to production, ensuring functionality, cost-efficiency and sustainability.
Assist in the design and development of corrugated packaging solutions for a variety of products.
Work with the design team to create prototypes and samples.
Produce physical samples of corrugated cardboard boxes and packaging designs based on blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
Operate a digital CNC Cutter to create accurate samples.
Inspect all samples for accuracy, durability, and compliance with client specifications.
Test sample functionality, including strength, weight-bearing capacity, and structural integrity.
Ensure the final samples meet design and functional criteria, including dimensions, strength, and aesthetics.
Maintain detailed records of sample specifications, adjustments, and customer feedback.
Ensure proper storage, tracking and dispatch of physical samples for future reference.
Manage the sample board stock levels.
Ensure machine operators have appropriate drawing files for each job.
Reviewing and signing off on design drawings, verifying accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project requirements.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand project requirements, and ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
Gain an understanding of machines' capabilities to deliver value to the customer through efficiency and cost control.
Learn to use CAD software and other design tools to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for costing and customer approval.
Gain a complete understanding of all raw materials available, their properties and best use.
Learn and understand machine specifications to give the best routing for the projects.
Liaise with tool manufacturers on new or replacement tooling.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain costings for new projects.
Support artwork process coordination with an external supplier.
Contribute to research and development of sustainable packaging materials and techniques.
Assist in preparing costings and proposals for clients and internal stakeholders.
Participate in client meetings to discuss design requirements and present design concepts.
Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in packaging design.

Role
Deliver first class eye examinations, contact lens care and other eyecare services provided by the practice.
30-60 minute appointments
OCT and Optomap available
Treat each patient as an individual and afford them the best eyecare they can expect to receive as an individual and unique person.
Listen, empathise and understand the unique needs and desires of each patient and ensure they receive the best eyecare possible – understand that everyone deserves the best.
Carry out the required examination in an enthusiastic and caring manner.
Explain each step of the examination so that the patient understands what is happening.
Discuss fully the various ways we have to correct their vision or other eye or eye health related issues.
Hand over every patient within the consulting room where possible, to the relevant colleague to take them on the next stage of their journey. If this is a referral ensure this is done and the patient understands how this will be done.
Introduce all patients to the benefits of contact lenses and encourage them to experience lenses for themselves
Carry out high quality contact lens fittings and aftercare
Where appropriate refer the patient to a colleague for contact lens wear

Participate and contribute in cross group discussions to improve the delivery of eyecare services across the group.
