Roofing Project Superintendent
(Hourly)
Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc. is seeking Roofing Project Superintendents/Project Managers with a proven track record in running and supervising commercial and industrial roofing construction projects to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for resolving project issues and problems, providing coordination between subcontractors and owner operations, affirming specifications are followed in accordance with Tremco standards, generating reports on project status, and ensuring owner satisfaction. This position requires 5-10 years experience in built-up roofing systems or 5 years as a foreman for BUR systems, materials, and their applications, single ply roofing systems, building construction, field fabrication of metal work. You must be able to keep project records and interface with owners, subcontractors, and Company management. Some travel is required. The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $20 and $33. Years 1 and 2:
During your first year you will spend time at college completing a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the foundation qualification of your apprenticeship.
Upon completion, you will return to Leonardo to start your rotational placements within some of the following departments:
Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations and other engineering support functions.
During your second year you will attend college on a day release basis to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the knowledge qualification of your apprenticeship and continue with your rotational placements.
Years 3 and 4:
In your 3rd year you will continue to rotate around different departments, gaining further knowledge of the company and developing your engineering skills. Your 3rd year will also see you through the workplace portfolio phase of your level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the competence qualification of your apprenticeship. For your final year you will specialise in your chosen area, based on your experience throughout your rotational placements you will also complete the End Point Assessment for your apprenticeship in Engineering Technical Support (Apprenticeship Standard Ref: ST0457).
