Identifying and resolving production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies
Overseeing projects related to manufacturing improvements, managing budgets, and coordinating teams of engineers and technicians

Apprentices will undertake a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer Degree Apprenticeship. The training will be delivered by University of Staffordshire

Apprentices will attend university for 1 week block of study per semester each academic year. All face-to-face teaching is delivered at our Stoke on Trent campus

The Apprenticeship structure:
The apprenticeship standard has two parts:
The Learning Journey - this incorporates the skills, knowledge and behaviours that are essential to the role, employer and industry.
Functional Skills – This part of the programme provides those apprentices who have not achieved GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths the opportunity to gain a qualification in English and mathematics. Those candidates that have achieved GCSEs or equivalent in these subjects may be exempt from taking Functional Skills.
Specific technical knowledge and skills training is provided by the employer. During the learning journey, apprentices will produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate they have developed the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for the role and this portfolio will support the end-point assessment.
The training and development delivered by the employer and provider will ensure the apprentice has developed the skills, knowledge and behaviours to be able to complete their end-point assessment.

Provide hands-on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation. Attend pre-cons on large projects. Perform a pre-final inspection to ensure that the project has a zero-punch list. Perform final inspections when needed. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Quality Control Specialist educates WTI personnel on the proper use and application of products, providing installation training both on and off the roof. They oversee large self-performed projects from start to finish, conducting intermittent inspections and performing post-completion inspections of smaller projects. The QCS will conduct regular job site visits during the project and after project completion. The goal is to provide consistency nationwide through proper roof repairs and the application of our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure proper execution and delivery of all WTI GS and GC self-performed roofing work. Provide a variety of technical and application training sessions in both field and shop settings. Provide hands-on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation. Attend pre-cons on large projects. Be present at job start-ups to discuss the proper execution of the scope of work. Visit the projects at specific intervals to assess the completed work and provide any direction or corrective advice. Perform a pre-final inspection to ensure that the project has a zero-punch list. Perform final inspections when needed. Essential Functions
Technical Leadership: Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across formulations, QA/QC, field technical support, and regulatory compliance.
