The Role

About You
Youll be an experienced Computer Vision Engineer with a strong track record of developing algorithms and taking them through validation and deployment.
Essential experience includes:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- 5+ years' industrial or research experience in computer vision algorithm development and deployment.
- Strong understanding of computer vision, image processing, machine learning and deep learning.
- Proven experience taking computer vision algorithms from concept through to validation and deployment.
- Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C and/or C++.
- Experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
- Strong understanding of camera and LiDAR technologies.
- Experience with software testing and integration.
- Good understanding of Git and software configuration management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Training:The apprentice will work towards the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.
Training will primarily take place within the residential childcare setting, allowing the apprentice to learn and develop skills in the workplace.
The apprentice will receive regular support and guidance from experienced colleagues, managers and Acorn Training.
Off-the-job training will be completed during paid working hours through a combination of online learning, workshops, observations and one-to-one sessions.
Training sessions will typically take place on a monthly basis, as agreed with Acorn Training.
The apprentice will attend regular progress reviews to monitor development and ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Upon successful completion of the programme, the apprentice will achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Residential Childcare.Training Outcome:Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent Residential Support Worker or Children's Residential Care Worker position. With further experience and training, individuals can advance to roles such as Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Home Manager, or Registered Children's Home Manager.
