About the Role
As a Childrens Social Worker , you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the local area. Your duties will include:
Ensuring children are seen in a timely manner
Completing assessments within time scales
Working with CIN, safeguarding, looked after children and court work
Performing all duties commensurate with the statutory role of the local authority
The main expectation of this role is office-based, with slight flexibility around home working, which will need to be approved.

About the team
The opportunity is within the Integrated Discharge Team. The team does work across both Doncaster Royal Infirmary in the Transfer of Care Hub and across the multiple discharge pathways to determine the appropriate ongoing long-term needs.
About you
A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years’ post qualified experience is essential for this role. You will provide a very high quality and effective service to adults and carers. You should also be able to work autonomously, using your initiative to manage your own caseload. Your ability to communicate, both written and verbally, needs to be effective and you will be able to use evidence base practice to take appropriate action.

We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Family Assessment Centre.

About the team
You’ll be working for an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated Family Assessment Centre who provide residential and community-based parenting assessments. You will hold a small caseload, working within a multidisciplinary team, undertaking expert assessments instructed by Family Courts and Local Authorities.
About you
The successful candidate will need a BA Honors or master’s degree in social work to be considered for this role. Experience of working with families and children in a Safeguarding setting, and previous experience doing Family Assessments is essential. You must also hold a full drivers license and access to your own vehicle.
