Main Duties

Ensure DBS clearance is sought for contractors whilst working on site, in the absence of a DBS, ensure that contractors are accompanied at all times, taking suitable measures to ensure the safeguarding of the students, staff and visitors to the school.
On arrival to the site and before proceeding with any works, ensure contractors are handed the contractors code of conduct and have read, understood and signed the asbestos register (where applicable).
Ensure before any contractor proceeds with any work to site, that they have completed or produced the required documentation, such as general work permit, hot work permit, risk assessments, public liability insurance etc.

To provide a statutory social work service for children in care and care leavers age 18-25 years, ensuring that all legislative requirements are met. An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Care Home Manager to manage an exceptional care home based in the Boston, Lincolnshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
The home specialises in providing nursing and residential care for service users with dementia, learning disabilities or sensory impairment
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered General Nurse with a current active NMC Pin or Hold experience in managing nursing homes**
As the Registered Home Manager your key responsibilities include:
Effectively manage your staff, providing information, guidance and on-going supervision and support, recruiting new staff and continually develop and encourage your team
Working with your Area Manager you will continually ensure that business objectives and the CQC compliance criteria are met, by cultivating good working relationships with all your stakeholders and actively work in a Collaborative way to ensure our service and care levels are outstanding
You will have full commercial control and work closely with the Customer Relations Team to ensure that optimum occupancy is maintained in your home by creative marketing strategies ensuring cost control over fees and staffing
Using various systems you will be submitting regular management Information reporting on all aspects of the homes, from occupancy levels, fees, budget controls and staffing
You will also be working closely with the Hospitality and Maintenance teams to ensure the best standards in the homes environment, including food presentation standards, housekeeping standards and the care and maintenance of residents' clothing and building
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Care Home Management role with at least 3 years’ experience as a Registered Home Manager with CQC
Experience and knowledge of working in dementia care
Have a proven track record in management and delivery of high-quality care within a residential setting and financial management planning
Proven experience of managing a care team, encouraging, leading and motivating others
Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance and care inspectorate
The successful Registered Care Home Manager will receive a excellent salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working on days. In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive the following generous benefits:

To assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for guidance.
To help to set up for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session.
To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
To advise the Manager of any concerns e.g. health and well-being of children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
To take action to support the setting to achieve and maintain a minimum good Ofsted rating at the next inspection.
To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
To support meal times within the setting.
To actively participate at team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings.
To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.
To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families, or other staff, which is acquired as part of the job.
To be aware of and adhere to all the setting’s operational policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety, fire precautions, dropping off and collection of children, food safety, cleanliness of the setting.
