Highways maintenance workers are tasked with working on roads, highways, and rights-of-way which can be accessed by the public. Day-to-day tasks may include:
Carriageway patching.
Maintaining high technical standards.
Attending project and work briefings.
Driving/operating vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills including vehicle checks, routine maintenance, (e.g. oil and water checks etc) and cleaning
All aspects of highway maintenance works including routine and cyclic maintenance activities, minor civils’ works, litter picking, etc
Winter maintenance operations.
Emergency call out operations.
Taking responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect member of the public.
Carrying out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books.
Recording of Drivers hours
Allocation and capturing time and resource utilisation in line with operated allocation system.
To keep records, complete all necessary paperwork, communicate, and liaise with other employees of Amey, sub-contractors, the emergency services, the police, the public, clients and customers.
Routine and cyclic maintenance activities.
Training:You will achieve the Level 2 Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative Apprenticeship Standard by attending CP Assessments Training Centre in Denaby Main, Doncaster to undertake 8 block-release training sessions (4 days), every 10-12 weeks.
The successful candidate will work towards Level 2 Functional Skills in both Maths and English if they have not achieved this prior or have an equivalent.
You will be registered for an Apprentice CSCS card which can be upgraded on successful completion of the apprenticeship.Training Outcome:

Role & responsibilities:
As an apprentice welder, the candidate will be learning to manufacture stainless steel components using the TIG welding process, whilst undergoing the training, which is a mixture of full time at the AMRC training centre followed by day release and on the job training.

The role of the Lead SHE Advisor is a senior position, responsible for ensuring compliance to company standards and legislation across the facilities and to drive continuous improvement culture.
The Lead SHE Advisor will be supporting the following areas of the business, Industrialization, Quality Control, Medical, research & Development, Engineering Maintenance, Warehouse and Offices.
You will also be responsible for other sites across the UK and other SHE Advisors within the team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining the plant’s ‘licence to operate’; ensuring COMAH compliance, environmental permitting compliance, process safety management and effective regulator management (especially HSE & EA)
To act as the SME For all SHE topics for the site.
Providing site level SHE supports for related matters.
Act as an influential leader to embed the intervention culture of the plant and to coach peers.
Attend any facility SHE Meetings to promote matters.
Provide expert guidance, coaching and support in SHE excellence to the plant and the wider organisation, in areas of assigned subject matter expertise (including COMAH).

Role Climate17 are working with a civil engineering and FM company who specialise in the oil, gas, and renewables industries. Within renewables, they offer a variety of services in civils, mechanical, electrical and project delivery. They are actively searching for a Contract Manager to oversee the management of contracts related to renewable energy projects, site maintenance, and construction projects. Responsibilities Lead EPC contract negotiations with subcontractors and select suppliers, ensuring favourable T&C for solar PV and Battery Storage projects. Oversee the execution and fulfilment of contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.Assist in identifying and selecting, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for solar PV and Battery Storage projects. Establish strong working relationships and hold contractors accountable for meeting project deliverables.Assist the team in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.Assist in developing and managing project budgets, tracking and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.Work with internal and external stakeholders in relation to lease, consents and insurances.zSet strict project timelines and milestones, monitoring progress and addressing any delays.Conduct commercial risk assessments for each project and develop mitigation strategies.Implement QC measures to guarantee that all installations and construction activities meet industry standards and company guidelines.Liaise and collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders and clients to provide regular project updates, address concerns, and ensure smooth project execution.Assess and manage any variations required in the construction contracts after signature.Uphold health and safety standards on all projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Requirements Solid experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager in the solar PV/renewable energy industry - desirableStrong understanding of EPC/ICP contracts, project management principles, and financial management. (JCT/NEC3 etc.)Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with UK renewable energy regulations and industry best practices.Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.Health and safety certifications and experience (e.g., NEBOSH, CDM) - desirable.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining accuracyGreat organisation skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise.Possess a full driving license.
