Successful participation in and completion of the Health and Care Intelligence Specialist (Level 7) apprenticeship
Providing advice and support in the use of common sources of data for public health purposes
Applying analytical, statistical and epidemiological methods to a range of public health data to support routine and ad hoc analytical projects and tasks
Planning, managing and delivering on a range of assigned projects requiring analytic input, including negotiating and agreeing the most appropriate data output, initiating and planning workloads and setting delivery timescales
Ensuring compliance with quality assurance policy and procedures and taking responsibility for producing data quality reports on hosted databases
Participating in an ad hoc health intelligence request service for users of the services and providing specialist advice on appropriate use of this information
Supporting the local translation and dissemination of health intelligence outputs through awareness raising and signpostingUsing a variety of methods including written briefings and oral presentations to communicate the implications of public health analytical outputs for action to improve local population health to stakeholders from a range of backgrounds
Supporting the training and induction of OHID staff as well as participating in the programme of training in health intelligence for external stakeholders
Attending meetings with key local stakeholders and playing an active role in the hosted network for public health intelligence specialists.
Working collaboratively as part of the analytical capability within OHID and wider DHSC assisting colleagues in the delivery of the analytical work programme
Ensuring personal, and promoting team, compliance with corporate policies in relation to security, confidentiality and release of information
Supervision of relevant staff as directed.
Training:An apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to ‘earn while you learn’ by combining theoretical learning with practical ‘on-the-job’ experience; allowing you to work towards a nationally recognised qualification, while building skills in your daily role and earning a salary. An apprenticeship also allows you to secure a qualification with no tuition or student fees as the programme is fully funded by the department.
You will spend 80% of your contracted working hours on your day-to-day responsibilities and 20% of your time will be dedicated to your training. The apprenticeship will provide you with new skills to apply to your job role, ensuring you are continuously learning in a supportive environment.
Upon successful competition of the end point assessment, you will achieve a Level 7 apprenticeship as a Health and Care Intelligence Specialist.Training Outcome:This role will enable you to build your knowledge and skills in public health intelligence, as well giving you an understanding of government and the wider health and care system. This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Derby Road campus (NG18). About The RoleThe Support Worker will provide a structured, personalised resettlement service to every service user at Mildmay House. To seek to support service users who have experienced homelessness to move into their own homes in a planned and supported way.To offer advice, training, information and one-to-one/group support to help service users through this process. The support offered very much depends on the individual, but can include advice on housing rights, accompanying individuals to meetings, and practical support to move in, such as obtaining furniture and setting up payment plans for household bills.
