Summary: The Coatings & Adhesives Technician Level I is a key role within the Construction Products Group, responsible for conducting laboratory tests, including chemical, physical, and engineering assessments of experimental products and competitive materials. Under the direct supervision of the Technical Manager, the technician will assist in the development of new products, improve existing products, and provide data analysis to support the division's product line. Responsibilities:
Lab Setup and Testing: Set up and operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation for various tests, research, and process control.

As a Physics Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will spend the first few weeks of your apprenticeship within AWE’s Skills Academy before moving out into placements within the business. Experimental Physics at AWE involves the study of unusual materials in extreme conditions. Placements range from working with high power lasers to diagnosing high explosives.
