Enter information into IMDS and/or AIAG Compliance Connect spreadsheet (or other customer prescribed format to comply with Automotive ELV (End-of-life vehicle) reporting requirements
Coordinate capability studies and compile results of such studies for submission to Quality Engineer

This role involves working on the design and development of this biotech manufacturing device, using 3D CAD. Therefore, specific CAD experience will be essential, ideally SOLIDWORKS.
We need senior-level candidates, someone who has worked on mechatronics, automation, robotics, precision devices or another complex electro-mechanical technology.
Due to the size of this company, you will be exposure to other areas of the business, including third-party meetings and attending Biotech, Medical Devices and Science conferences and trade shows. Consequently, it would be ideal if you have previously worked for a start-up/scale-up company or worked for a Medical Devices/Biotech/Scientific Design Consultancy and know what it’s like to wear multiple hats when needed. Experience in Medical Devices, Scientific or Biotech companies is not essential; we can also look at candidates from other complex sectors.

The Role We are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team, supporting our bespoke fabrication workshop, furniture, lighting and sculpture departments. This unique role offers exposure to two of the UKs most creative metalwork and design studios, with a balance of hands-on workshop engagement and quality system development. You will play a key part in embedding robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that our commitment to craftsmanship is matched by precision and efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) under the Group Quality Managers guidance
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs and work instructions
- Raise, process, and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Conduct quality control inspections across both Hampshire and London sites
- Lead and contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects
- Champion a culture of quality, precision, and efficiency within the production teams
- Build strong working relationships with craftspeople and management to ensure operational alignment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Production Engineer in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Solid working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS); familiarity with ISO 9001 is desirable
- Practical experience with NCR and CAPA processes
- Confident in writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing priorities across multiple sites
- Effective communicator who thrives in a workshop environment and enjoys hands-on quality work
- Experience working closely with production teams is an advantage

The Ideal Person for the Sales Engineer
This role would suit either someone currently in an internal sales position looking to move into an external sales role or an experienced external salesperson.
Internal candidates will receive full training and will initially be based at their head office in Bedfordshire.
Candidates must have strong HVAC product knowledge and experience working with technical products, ideally selling solutions into the commercial sector.
We are looking for a strong relationship builder with established connections in the M&E consultant and contractors market.
As the first external sales ambassador for their family-run business, you will work closely with and be supported by the Sales Director, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the sector.
You must be able to commute to London within one hour.
