An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading contractor delivering a major mission-critical construction project in Somerset. This role is specifically suited to a planner who understands how projects are physically built—not someone who simply updates schedules. You will take ownership of developing a fully coordinated and buildable construction programme, using federated BIM models to understand installation logic, sequencing and interfaces. You’ll work in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment where planning is central to successful project delivery. Your Role as a Senior Planner Will Include:
Developing and managing detailed construction programmes informed by federated BIM models.

Identifying programme risks, constraints and clashes early and developing practical mitigation strategies.

Supporting project teams with look-ahead planning, critical-path analysis and recovery programmes.
As a Senior Planner, You Will Need:
Experience working as a Senior Planner, Construction Planner or Planning Engineer.
A strong construction planning background on technically complex projects.
The ability to build programmes from drawings, scopes and BIM models—not simply maintain existing schedules.
Experience delivering large-scale projects valued at £50 million or more, ideally within data centres, industrial or high-tech facilities.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.
A practical understanding of MEP and CSA construction sequencing.
Confident communication skills and a delivery-focused mindset.
The flexibility to work site-based in Somerset.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter include:
Working as part of a Skilled Engineering team, tasked with the accurate building of bespoke Automated Machinery
Reading, interpreting and working directly from engineering drawings to ensure that machines are built in-line with specifications
Building, assembling & installing a vast range of technologies onto bespoke automated machinery, including sub-assemblies, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, conveyors, grabbers and many more
Occasionally travelling to customer facilities to install, commission, service and/or repair machinery – nationally and internationally (business class flights on long-haul journeys). Customers are based on most continents all across the world (Mexico, Dubai & Vietnam are real examples)
Working Hours of the Mechanical Fitter:
37.5 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift:
Monday to Thursday – 08:00 to 16:30
Friday – 08:00 to 15:15
Overtime is frequently available midweek (2 hours per day) and Saturdays & Sundays (6 hours per day)

Starting Salary: £33,735.00 (£17.30 per hour) – rising with continued service and skill development

The Junior Mechanical Engineer provides engineering support to the program and/or area to ensure the product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the finished product.
Participate in plant metric reporting.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities as detailed in the facility site plan to resolve any production problems that may occur, maximize product consistency, and minimize cost.
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Use SAP to monitor production/business functions.
Provides engineering support for all operations in the plant.
Recommend modifications to current processes and equipment; document and follow up with engineers responsible for the modifications.
Works with the plant engineers, maintenance, and facilities to influence the direction of preventative maintenance best practices.
Support a high-performance results-oriented culture and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Provide technical and operational leadership for equipment and facility maintenance and improvements.
Deliver disciplined project management and product development assistance.
Regular review of batch first pass yield, production quality, distressed, obsolete, scrap, and returned material.
Troubleshoot and implement repeatability best practices.
Support investigations on equipment failures, difficulties, and deficiencies.
Interface with leadership, operators, and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and continuous production.
Assist in the Collection of site metrics and KPI's Implementation and continued support of PIE.
Perform a job in accordance with all Tremco safety policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
