A leading UK manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint a Project Engineer / Design Engineer to support major capital investment projects across multiple manufacturing facilities nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong CAD design capability and engineering experience within a production/manufacturing environment to join their central engineering and capital projects function, supporting projects typically ranging from £250K to £2M.
The role is primarily focused on supporting manufacturing operations across their network of factories and the central capital projects team by providing upfront engineering design, plant layout support, process improvement analysis, and technical project coordination during the early concept and feasibility stages of capital projects.
The position is based in the Derbyshire area and will involve regular travel to manufacturing plants across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

As a Production Engineer, you will:
Manage the process design and implementation of 3-4 new development projects at any given time, ensuring all projects are delivered within a 12-month cycle.
Develop production processes and process controls for a variety of projects across multiple production sites, including the UK, China & Japan.
Provide technical support, including first-line support for the Milton Keynes Production department across areas such as SMA, Hybrid assembly, Production Test, Dicing Line, Diced Product Automatic Line, FHP Moulding Line, Encapsulation, and Laser marking.
Support the MPS Celab UK site as required.
