For the majority of your apprenticeship, you will work alongside an experienced engineer in a small friendly team environment gaining work experience. Our 3 Year Apprenticeship Programme will see you develop both technically and personally, with the majority of your first year spent at SETA training centre in Southampton completing some of the following training:
Foundational knowledge units including General Safety and Statutory Requirements

1 Day a week will be dedicated to the delivery of a BTEC Level 3 in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
Once you’re equipped with your foundation knowledge, you’ll join us on-site for Year 2 and 3 where you’ll work alongside our teams and start gaining valuable hands-on experience and training to further your understanding and start applying what you’ve learnt. You’ll be assigned a mentor, who will oversee your development and training, offering valuable insights into career paths at Perenco.
Some of your activities on-site might look like the below:
Plan and execute scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimise impact on production, and maximise plant availability on the following:
o Variable speed controllers; LV/HV motors; LV/HV protection; LV/HV distribution systems
o UPS systems; lighting & small power; domestic systems; trace heating & cathodic protection
o Perform LV & HV Electrical Isolations and lock-offs.
Carry out all activities to company standards and procedures
Raise relevant permits within the agreed time period
Report relevant permits with the agreed time period
Develop and review operational and maintenance procedures
Provide input and assistance for new projects including commissioning work
Training:Our Apprentices will undertake a Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician, Level 3 (A level). This will include a full-time period of practical workshop based ‘off-the-job’ training at SETA in Southampton.
You will also begin a technical certificate (depending on your prior attainments) where you will be required to attend SETA one day a week over two academic years. Training:The apprenticeship programme is designed to gain skills and technical expertise to become a certified NDT Operator in one NDT Method. This includes health and safety training, 1-to-1 mentoring, seminars, practical work experience sessions, and on-the-job training.
The candidates will keep records of their learning and experience throughout the programme and create a project report. The project will then be presented at the end-point assessment.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship scheme, further PCN qualifications could be gained.

Service Desk Engineer / Contract / 3 months / Inside IR35
The role requires handling a wide range of IT issues, requests, and tasks from Level 1 to Level 3, while collaborating with other IT teams when necessary.
Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
Responding to and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 possibly Level 3 support issues, requests, and tasks
Providing troubleshooting and support for hardware and software, including but not restricted to Microsoft, Windows 10/11, Office 365, and HP/Lenovo hardware
Printer support and maintenance
AV Meeting room support, ensuring smooth operation of audiovisual equipment for meetings
Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by focusing on timely and effective solutions
Person Specification
You will have the following skills:
Strong technical understanding of ITSM, Windows 10/11, Office 365, and common IT infrastructure
Knowledge and hands-on experience with HP/Lenovo hardware and printers
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service
Ability to work as a self-starter, showing initiative and ownership over tasks
